Projects
Vision Aid For Color Blind People (2013~present) (Industrial Design UI2013702108) This project helps color blind people in their everyday life and it is protected as an industrial design. We have implemented a fuzzy logic based color detection system which classifies the colors. The most challenging part of the project was translating numbers to colors. The latest version is a sensor in a shape of a ring that can be worn and it scans colors presented in front of the ring with push of a button.
Electronic Assistant for Paralyzed Individual (2015~2016) A system has been developed for paralyzed people to control home appliances using their brain. The system is integrated into a wheelchair to provide mobility as well. TV, air conditioner, lights and the wheelchair are all controlled using Steady State Visually Evoked Potential (SSVEP). A System and A Method For Reducing the Effects of Tremors in Human Body
(2015~Present) (Patent Pending PI2016702891)
I proposed this project for my final year project and my supervisor, Prof. Mahmoud Moghavvemi, accepted my proposal. In this project a novel idea has been implemented to reduce tremor in shaky body parts.
Max Power Point Tracker (MPPT) Based On Particle Swarm Optimization (2015) In this project a micro controller was used to find the optimum power point under different shading conditions. We proposed a new algorithm and we compare it with the typical algorithms used in MPPTs. The result of our work was published in IEEE transaction. Combat Robot (2013~2016)
We have a unique design for combat robots and so far we have made three different versions. The most important learning outcome of these projects was going through a proper design procedure and close communication between mechanical and electrical engineers. We used SolidWorks and Altium to designing the robot and PCBs; we added many safety features to reduce the failure rates of the robot both mechanically and electrically under harsh condition. The video link below shows the robots’ capability.
