Industrial Experience: Nearly 30 years of rich experience in production, projects, maintenance, installation & commissioning and team management in which 20 years in the field of hot-dip cold rolled coil continuous (furnace & wet flux line) lines, structure galvanizing and wire drawing & wire product lines viz. roofing nails, wire mesh & BRC, barbed wire, chain link, etc.(12 years), 3 years in petrochemical field and 7 years in the field of solvent extraction of vegetable oil from oil seeds.

Project Management: Completion of the projectile work within the budget and schedule, effective resource utilization to maximize the output, liaising with consultants and clients for the smooth running of operations, participating in project review meetings for evaluating project progress, ensuring that equipment/materials received are in accordance with the quantity & quality, supervising capacity expansion activities, ensuring effective site management and discipline, overseeing procurement, vendor development and execution of works through work contract, supervising large manpower for specific and routine works and foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.

Production Planning & Control Management: Ensuring a coordinated flow of work leading to complete manufacture of the product before the arrival of the date promised for delivery, conducting third party inspection, organizing ISO audit and eliminating waste by JIT production.

Installation/Commissioning: Preparing plans and monitoring their execution to ensure its execution within the time & cost parameters, handling commissioning of various equipments viz. CGL, TOC/CC line, Profiler M/cs., CTLs (both HR & GI sheet), wire drawing, welded mesh lines, BRC, roofing nails M/cs., chain link M/cs., EOT crane, boiler, N2/H2& chilling plant, ETP, etc. as well as start-up, plant handover, plant performance studies and safety & energy audits.

Maintenance: Improving the quality of production equipments by carrying out failure analysis, planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of various equipments and instruments to increase machine up time and equipment reliability, proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools, executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures and work within the planned budget.

Man Management: Providing direction, assessing the training needs, appraising, reviewing and ensuring healthy work atmosphere for the accomplishment of targets and optimum performance of the employees.

Additional Industrial Exposure: Worked with M/s. Bronx International Pty. Ltd., Australia for the project work of hot-dip cold rolled coil continuous galvanizing plant of M/s. Kenya General Ind. Ltd., Mombasa, Kenya and commissioned copper rolling mill of M/s. Ganesh Ferrozinc Industries Pvt. Ltd., Biratnagar, Nepal.

Knowledge Purview: Adept in process as well as project of hot-dip cold rolled coil continuous & structure galvanizing and solvent extraction of vegetable oil from oil seeds.

Professional Experience: Worked with M/s. Tororo Cement Ltd., Tororo, Uganda(from July 2012 to September 2015) as Plant Manager – Projects & Production (Steel Division) for the CGL, TOC/CC line (INCO, Spain), HR CTL and Welded wire mesh line& BRC (HK Furui, China), Profiler (Hayes, New Zealand), Manual CTL, Barrel corrugation, Wire drawing, Roofing nails, Barbed wire, Chain link, etc. At present (from October 2015) working as a consultant for my previous employers assisting their Indian activities.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing:

Progressive experience in managing Production (furnace & wet flux line), Maintenance, Quality, Safety and Cost Control for large hot dip galvanizing area within major production plant. Practiced in ISO 9000 certifications.

Sound manufacturing and processing knowledge of roofing& fencing products (roofing sheets, roofing nails, barbed wire, chain link, welded wire mesh, BRC, etc.) and structure galvanizing.

Well versed in all aspects of production including inventory management, quality improvement, safety programs, scheduling and maintenance.

Maintaining the coating mass and reducing the by-product (top & bottom dross) formation by controlling process parameters.

Optimizing expensive alloying elements viz. Al, Sn, Sb etc. by maintaining proper ratio in order to yield improvement in galvanized products and kettle life.

Four hot-dip galvanizing plant project viz. M/s. Kenya General Industries Ltd., Mombasa, Kenya; M/s. Tororo Cement Ltd., Tororo, Uganda; M/s. R.D. Roofing & Wire Products Ltd., Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania; M/s. Societe Industrielle de Bois et d’Acier, Dakar, Senegal and one TOC/CCL plant project (M/s. Tororo Cement Ltd.) successfully executed.

Petrochemical:

Handled the maintenance of glass lined reactor, chemical cracker, vacuum distillation, blending & hydrogenation vessels, reciprocating & centrifugal air compressor, automatic oil fired boiler, thermic fluid heater, chilling & effluent treatment plant and firefighting equipment.

Solvent Extraction:

Thorough operation and maintenance of batch & continuous (De-Smet) plants, having processing knowledge of rice bran, coconut, sal seed, karanja seed, kusum seed, mauwa seed, castor seed, ground nut, etc.

Selected Achievements:

Addressed conflicts in various section heads and created a team spirit resulting in increased productivity.

Increased customer confidence by meeting buyer needs thus reduced customer complaints& indirect costs.
