CACHE DESIGN ALTERNATIVES BY WRITING A CACHE SIMULATOR IN JAVA

DESCRIPTION: For each cache alternative, report the overall miss rate. And also, to determine which misses are compulsory, Capacity and conflict.

RESPONSIBILLITES:

Involved in requirement Analysis and Design Documents creation.

Involved in the design of different types of Cache.

Created individual classes in java for each individual type of cache.

Imported all the classes into one main class for execution of the entire code in Java.

Observed the results for each individual cache simulation and showed overall miss rate and also provided information about which type of miss (Compulsory, Capacity, Conflict).

CONCLUSION: Simulations show that our scheme greatly improves the ratio of queries satisfied and reduces data access delay and improves the data storage in cache memory
