JOB DESCRIPTION
I am the founder/owner and operating manager of West KY Environmental LLC. As the operating manager I promote the company and obtain a cliental that consists of oil companies and property owners with similar businesses. I oversee the cost effectiveness and implement the decisions and direction of the company. I work through the state and local Environment Protection Cabinet and the State Fire Marshall Office as a certified company consultant for dealing with the safety and environmental issues for underground storage tanks by implementing and overseeing tank removal procedures; in conjunction with concerns for remediation phases throughout the state at various work facilities.
This involves locating underground utilities and working with the utility companies to prevent any injuries or hazards; by implementing all health and safety guidelines and regulations by following work site safety policies and procedures. I respond to environmental and safety emergencies declared by Division of Waste Management. I coordinate the emergency procedures and safety guidelines with chemical releases; which requires Spill Prevention Control Countermeasure Plans. I write BMP (Site-Specific Best Management Practices) reports. I have completed and prepared Phase I, II, III, IV reports and in the field activities.
I complete safety and environmental inspections on site, identifying the issues and developing a corrective action plan to insure compliance with applicable safety, health and environmental regulations including EPA, HAZMAT, and federal, state, and local regulations.
As project manager, working on site requires directing all drilling advancements to determine horizontal and vertical contamination extent. I finalize all reporting, mapping, and drafts for completing a Closure Assessment Report to obtain a no further action letter from Division of Waste Management. This letter illustrates the completion of the project according to regulation and staying within state compliance.
