June 14 to present – Enabling Solutions Inc. 1501 Sequoia Rd. Naperville, IL. Systems Controls Engineer. Consultant at Corning Inc. Wilmington NC fiber optics plant. Supervisor: Damon Athens. Duties: Maintain custom machine control coding for Corning’s proprietary design equipment. Three primary areas of responsibility were Visual Basic HMIs, Machine certification data collection and display, C based machine control software for Intel and Motorola based processors, and GE iFIX which was used as a middleware layer to interface with the corporate MES system. Hardware and software plant floor off-hours support.
October 13 to April 14 – Shaw Industries Group Inc. 877 Torrington Rd. Clinton, SC. Position: Sr. Automation Engineer. Supervisor: Ronnie Davis. Duties: Oversee maintenance, improvement, and implementation of all production automation in the plant, particularly PLC, Robotics and production displays. Implement and manage process improvement projects. Managed and instructed automation technicians. Administered plant floor networks.
January 09 to September 13 – AREVA Federal Services. Shaw AREVA MOX Services, Savannah River Site. Aiken, SC. Position: Engineer III– PLC Systems Analyst. Supervisor: Radim Broos. Duties: Develop
organic analyses, testing specification and software coding for PLC and SCADA systems for automated
nuclear manufacturing systems. Maintain documentation in Rational ClearCase document tracking system.
Testing of Siemens S7 PLC, Schneider Modicon Premium PLC, and MonitorPro SCADA code in lab
environment.
February 08 to January 09 – Shaw Group, Inc. Shaw AREVA MOX Services, Savannah River Site.
Aiken, SC. Position: Engineer III – PLC Systems Analyst. Supervisor: Gary Bell. Duties: Develop organic
analyses, testing specification and software coding for PLC and SCADA systems for automated nuclear
manufacturing systems. Maintain documentation in Documentum version tracking system.
November 05 to February 08 – DaimlerChrysler Corporation, 38111 Van Dyke. Sterling Heights MI.
Position: Systems Engineer. Supervisor: Phil Osmunson. Duties: Implemented and maintained PLC,
SCADA and vehicle tracking systems in an automotive production environment. Maintained and
implemented PCs in office and plant floor environment. Maintained and supervised installation of Ethernet,
serial and wireless networks in office and plant floor environments. Supervised departmental electricians
for afternoon and midnight shifts. Light network administrative duties. Provided plant-wide helpline
support.

Position: Controls Engineer. Duties: Worked closely with Ford VO engineers to specify and implement the
ActivPlant manufacturing data collection system. Developed PLC software standards and did initial
programming and data collection debug for ActivPlant for a number of Ford plants. Designed and
implemented Ethernet networking for Kuka Robotics to allow ActivPlant validation for Ford systems in-house. Designed, programmed and implemented PLC programming for ActivPlant data collection at Tower
Automotive Chicago Business Unit. Developed standards for Tower’s ActivPlant data collection and
display. Developed, debugged and commissioned controls programming for robotic welding cells for Ford
500 project at Chicago Stamping and Tower Automotive Chicago Business Unit.
June 98 to October 02 – Storm Controls Services, 7895 Harmony Ct. Fair Haven, MI. Position: Owner.
Duties: Contracted controls engineering and design services to automated system OEMs and systems
integrators, specializing in PLC, SCADA and HMI programming, often providing leadership in the projects
I consulted on. Instituted a PLC training program for a local school system’s adult education program,
including the lab, the curriculum and provided the training. Supervised employees and managed the day-today affairs of the corporation.

electrical, pneumatic, water and software control systems and networking for robotic body shops and
