Directed Construction trade contractors’ work of Plumbers, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors contributing to the installation of Industrial finishing equipment and interfacing with the plant’s building construction.

Defined and supervised Client’s Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding & Assembly Personnel providing in house production of components required for equipment components.

Contract position to assemble two Finishing Lines valued at 2MM.

Items were reworked as needed by the project parameters new components designed fabricated with the customer’s equipment and tooling from sheet steel and structural steel to facilitate a working system.

Leading member of the Start-Up Team the supplying engineering foundation for its core products of Spray Booths leading to positioning the organization as second largest spray booth manufacturer in the United States.

Orchestrated the development of a total of six core products, working with cross functional teams on, strategic marketing, supply chain design, procurement systems, finance, manufacturing, engineering, production installation, commissioning and service personnel, transforming a small sheet metal division of the parent company historically operating at a loss to a profitable position in 6 months requiring expansion to its own facility in one year and an additional facility in three.

Designed products developing standardizations of products for offering based on manufacturability and profit potential for the industrial ventilation, environmental containment and safety needs of the painting and powder coating application operations of Industrial Finishing, Automotive Truck & Equipment refinishing business segment. Building on these capabilities designed full lines of Drying and Curing oven and equipment. Adding finally the pretreatment coating equipment by developing designs for process piping open boilers and enclosures for Parts-Washers product lines.

Developed automated quotation programs within Microsoft Excel reducing quote/estimate preparation time from days to minutes. On entering of the data into a form, costs and BOM’s self-populated in an accurate and consistent manner. Prejudicial manipulations of estimate figures were eliminated and honest negotiation of pricing of the offers was required based on actual cost/margins. Automating the BOM at offer increased the time for negotiation and supply chain planning.

Project management responsibilities included: product design, supply chain definition, supplier partnering, production specification, engineering, production oversight, installation supervision, and commissioning of multiple concurrent contracts. Growing from the company’s inception through consistent development of 20 to 30 projects in the pipeline at any given time values at $5 – $200K per contract.

Negotiated the Conversion of a “no-bid” offer to the first RFQ for a finishing production line for Caterpillar Corp into a $500,000.00 sale of components used for the same project, maintaining strategic marketing strategy and adding Caterpillar’s Paint Finishing Group to our network of equipment offers.

Designed manufacturing equipment and systems from broad definition of the customers’ needs into viable sales of $3,000,000.00 per year of specialized designed units.

Authored systems and controls that provided continuity and sustainability in the design, manufacture and production of the full product line of paint booths and finishing systems offered.

Produced the print ready catalog media for the sale of product lines, including artwork technical literature.

Developed standards for manufacturing and production controls to maintain profitability. Improving production from one unit per day to five units per day during my tenure.
