Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (May 2016)

Overall GPA: 3.9/4.0

EXPERIENCE University of Maryland, Baltimore County Fellowship - Baltimore, MD

Teaching Assistant: Thermodynamics & Process Control (August 2015 – May 2016)

Prepared teaching material, and supervised discussions & lab experiments for 70 students.

Developed strategies and tutorials to teach students ASPEN, and MATLAB programming.

Served as a tutor and mentor for students to best shape them as future engineers.

Maryland Department of Transportation Fellowship - Baltimore, MD

Engineer (Summer 2015)

Worked on Bus Network Improvement Project (BNIP) to implement sensor technology on MTA vehicles, and develop a mobile MTA app to fill customer needs and improve efficacy of service.

Modeled civil structures and transit schedules across Baltimore, using AutoCAD and GIS.

Carried out extensive data analysis, and optimized service conditions. This led to 7% increase in on-time performance, 3% saving on annual spending, and increase in customer satisfaction.

Plaza Inc (Restaurant) - Baltimore, MD

Manager (2010 - 2014)

PROJECTS Ethylbenzene Production Plant, Senior Design (Spring 2016) (Group)

Designed an ethylbenzene production plant - manufactured 800 MM lbs of ethylbenzene per year, with an NPV of $1.2 billion over 20 year fiscal period.

Prepared block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.

Carried out feasibility study, designed major unit equipment (like reactor, compressor, and pump sizing), process control analysis, and Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs).

Kinetics Researcher, Undergraduate Researcher UMBC - Publication (2014 - 2015)

Designed experiments to research the kinetics of the Briggs–Rauscher oscillating reaction. Findings provided data and insight to the reaction, important in human health applications.

Constructed an off-the-shell, $50 prototype of a spectrophotometer for the research, using an Arduino microprocessor, RGB Sensor, and other components. Programmed Arduino using C++.

Non-Invasive Conductivity Sensor, Sensor Design - DARPA Project (Fall 2015) (Group)

Designed an inexpensive ($70) non-invasive conductivity sensor / sensor chamber product to measure the concentration of analyte in soldier’s blood, on the battlefield, for medical purposes.

Performed quality testing on sensor to improve technical capability and performance.

Programmed sensor using LabVIEW programming.
