Work in the treatment area to help technicians restrain pets for x-rays, blood draws, vaccinations, wound clean-up, etc. Also assist in the boarding facility of the hospital and make sure all the pets that are boarding are cleaned, walked, and fed at a certain time and monitor if any health issues are occurring.

Collected 120 draws of blood specimens, by venipuncture, vaccutainer, capillary puncture, butterfly and fingerstick techniques, from a wide range of patients of all ages. Secured over 150 draws with an average of 30 to 40 blood specimens daily, and 10 during a busy hour. Processed and centrifuged blood, and prepared urine specimens for lab analysis and/or transport. Utilized computerized database to accurately verify patient identification and doctors’ orders. Stocked rooms with laboratory supplies, and maintained a safe and sterile work area.
