Airliquide Electronics, Senior Customer Quality Manager 2013-2016

Serve as primary point of contact for key account customers (GlobalFoundries, Micron, IBM and CSNE) and lead internal cross-functional teams across multiple Air Liquide locations in connection with resolution of customer quality issues. Responsible for leading all internal investigations and closure of SCAR's related to Gas Plant Operations (GPO), Total Gas and Chemical Management Operations (TGCM) and Supplier for ESGs and Precursors.

Implement tracking measures for, monitor and report on measurable objectives and milestones for meeting customer satisfaction and interface with customers regarding QMS deployment, quality processes and continuous improvement and business continuity initiatives.

Manage Material Change Notifications (MCNs) and develop risk assessment related to alternate sources for hauled bulk gas deliveries, qualifications of alternate sources of raw material, Identification and diagnoses of problems, assess risk, including the investigation and resolution of problems associated with ESGs and Precursors . Senior Quality Program Manager (2004-2013)

As team lead for quality and Supplier Quality Management, provided guidance for design, process reviews and validated product non-conformances, product disposition, quality procedures and engineering requirements. Conducted analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations, processes and maintenance plans. Reviewed Six-Sigma, SPC and Controls Strategy and enhanced methodologies to be Best of Breed. Improved operational performance internally and at suppliers by 25% over 3.5 years.

Identified and diagnosed problems, assessed risk, including the investigation and resolution of problems. Conducted root cause analysis of non-conformances, including conducting 38 audits over 4 years.

Established “Deep Dive” audit program for Semiconductor FAB, Assembly/Test facilities for IBM and Suppliers. Senior Program Manager (2001-2004)

Led DRAM Technology Transfer for 130nm and 110nm nodes to Nanya FAB in Taiwan for a total revenue of $300M. All JV contract deliverables exceeded or met. Product Development Team Leader for 512M and 1G DRAM products with a $50M development budget. Successfully transferred product designs, technology and IT infrastructure for manufacturing on schedule and under budget. Ramped products in manufacturing at Nanya FAB in Taiwan 3 months ahead of schedule. Matrix managed a team of 100 engineers across 4 continents.

Senior Strategic Marketing Manager (1998-2001)

Developed Microelectronics Division (MD) market segmentation and portfolio analysis to support revenue growth from $2.5B to $3.5B over three (3) years for server, wired, wireless, storage and consumer market segments.

Spearheaded a communications task force with members from IBM Research, Product Groups and Marketing to define nodes where MD products would be offered to support revenue growth by $350M in 18 months.

Project Manager – Project Management Methodology and Re-Engineering (1995-1998)

Led the product development re-engineering team. Performed diagnostics of the product development process to understand root cause of development cost over-runs and delayed product introductions.

Developed and re-engineered the Integrated Product Development (IPD) process from product concept, design through manufacturing launch and deployed across MD in 18 months. On-time delivery of new production introductions and development expense overruns improved by 80%.

Program Manager – Storage Systems Division (1993 -1995)

Program responsibility for Storage Systems chip business for MD. Worked with Tactical Marketing, Manufacturing, ISC and Pricing to generate RFI/RFQ (Request for information and Request for Proposal) proposals and bids.

Negotiated NRE, pricing, Development Hardware build and volume ramp commitments to support customer needs.

Engineering Manager – Wafer FAB (1989 -1993)

Managed a team of manufacturing engineers for insulators, metals, yield management, in-line test and planarization (chem-mech polish) providing engineering line support for process related issues.

Instituted SPC Six Sigma controls across all process parameters and responsible for new technology introduction and process enhancements resulting in 15% improvement in process yields and 20% improvement in test yields.

Advisory Engineer – IBM East Fishkill, NY (1985-1989)

Qualified and certified a state of the art clean room facility, a QA/EC controlled line for volume manufacturing and various bipolar technologies for production.

ITT Advanced Technology Center, Senior Engineering Manager, Shelton, CT 1979 – 1985

Led design, construction and certification of a Class 100 clean room facility to manufacture semiconductors for telecommunications. Responsible for $30MM equipment selection, procurement and installation. Developed and qualified 2 and 3 micron CMOS processes related to metals, insulators, RIE and photolithography. Qualified facility, developed and implemented processes in 3 years.
