Objective
Seeking Mechanical Engineering full time job to utilize my talents in engineering and problem solving.
Education
Texas Tech University Whitacre College of Engineering – Lubbock, TX
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering: GPA – 3.134
Czech Technical University – Prague, Czech Republic
Study Abroad exchange program through Texas Tech Spring 2015
Mechanical Engineering Design and Research Projects
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Experimentation and Design Spring 2016 – Fall 2016
Converted water into hydrogen gas by electrolysis on the go as a fuel supplement in vehicles.
Using a non-pressurized hydrogen injection system with excess energy to increase fuel efficiency.
Used a microcontroller to run a voltage, temperature, and hydrogen sensors on the engine to record data.
Utilized Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to composeour findings in a formal report and presentation.
Self-Filling Dog Water Bowl – Arduino Controller Project Fall 2016
Programmed an arduino to run a water level sensor, two ultrasonic sensors, and a real time clock.
These sensors functioned to fill the bowl when it was low and also while the dog was not near it.
Also created fail-safe procedures to keep the pump from running when the storage water tank was low.
Mechanisms of a Tornado Fall 2015
Study and describe the thermodynamic aspect occurring inside tornados.
Use dimensionless analysis and other functions of MATLAB to predict possible strengths of tornados.
Load Bearing Design Project Fall 2014
Design an hourglass like structure made only of wood and glue.
Performed Finite Element Analysis on several designs using ANSYS software.
Built Final design which set a new course wide record of weight held divided by weight of object ratio.
Egg Drop Fall 2012
Design light weight casing to protect egg from 3 story drop.
Used balloons, cotton balls, and Styrofoam; lightest design to complete every drop without breaking the egg.
Work Experience
Lawn Mowing & Landscaping Service May 2007 – August 2013
Opened and managed a lawn care business managing over 15 yards weekly
Hired, trained, and scheduled 1 assistant manager and 4 employees.
Utilized Excel spreadsheets to track business income, expenses, employee payroll, and profits.
Developed communication, planning, scheduling, customer service, interpersonalcommunication with customers, and cost/benefit ratios of purchasing new equipment and materials.
Chad Tompkins – Personal Home Construction Assistant May 2011 - August 2011
Assisted in overseeing contractors’ work being completed, and handled my own projects on the home.
Accepted deliveries, prepared the materials for new projects, and clean the work site for new contractors.
My purpose was to keep everyone informed and working efficiently on a million dollar home construction site.
