Employment History
July 2015 January 2017: Bloom at Belfair, Bluffton, SC. Executive Director 77 units Independent and
68 units Memory Care community. Increased independent census from 74% to 99% and doubled the
memory care census in 12 months. Secured a 34% NPM.
December 2013 June 2015: The Manse on Marsh, San Luis Obispo, CA. Executive Director (RCFE)
during the first nine months grew the census from 84% to 97% occupancy, increased care revenue by
50%. Developed various operational systems including check book tool and labor management tool
to assist managers in managing their business. In this position, I work with a developer aspiring to
open additional communities.
November 2011 2013: Sunrise Senior Living, McLean, VA. Executive Director (RCFE) Sunrise Alta
Loma, Sunrise Mission Viejo. Served as ED at the Alta Loma building for two months until new full
time ED could be secured. During that two months census was increased. In Jan, 2012 took the ED
position at Mission Viejo. The first year we saw census increase of 6% year over year and grew house
profit by 7%. Management team received a bonus.
March 2008 November 2011: Atria Senior Living, Louisville, KY. Executive Director (RCFE) Atria El
Camino Gardens, Carmichael, CA a 251 unit IL, AL and Memory Care community. 2010 Transferred to
New York to work with two communities Atria Rye Brook, a 161 unit IL community and Atria Hudson,
a 120 unit IL, AL and Memory Care community also a new start up. 2011 transferred to Charlotte, NC
to Atria Merrywood a 171 IL and AL community.
Sept. 2005 Oct 2007: Covenant Care Group, LLC. Started a long term care company and acquired
two nursing facilities. I was responsible for startup management for this company.
July 2003 Sept. 2005: Select Medical, RVP responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for a
contract therapy company.
Oct. 2002 July 2003: Grace Health Care. VP of Business Development responsible for overseeing
census development and ancillary services. Reached a 91% ADC, quality mix of 31%, inquiries
increased 98% with conversion rate of 65%, Medicare census increased 58%, monthly gross revenue
from rehab services doubled.
Sept. 2000 Sept 2002: Home Quality Management. VP Business Development. Worked with 60
facilities. Developed new product lines, identified new partnerships that enhanced operations and
grew Medicare participation 30%.
1997 2000: Self-employed. Owned and operated a contract rehabilitation company and medical
center.
1995 1997: Rehab Visions, Area Manager for five mid-western states. Quadrupled revenue within
two years.
1977 1995: National Health Corporation. Director of Development. Developed new programs for
NHC and promoted several times.
