Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Minor in Mathematics
Overall GPA: 3.927
Related courses: Mechanical Vibrations and Control, Mechanics of Machine Element, Integrated Design, and Engineering Analysis Using Finite Element
Research Experience
Independent Study Research on Acoustic Tablet Tester Instrument (ATT) Fall 2016
Purpose of research is to improve and test the repeatability of the improved Acoustic Tablet Tester Instrument
Developed a leveling system to adjust the contact point of transducer and tablet
Assembled an Iris to ATT to center the tablet
Used AutoCAD to draw and 3D printer to print out the parts that help to improve ATT
Tested the repeatability of improved ATT with real tablets
Reviewed, adjusted and modified the design to minimize the variability of ATT
Senior Design on Mechanical Solar Tracking System Fall 2016
Purpose of Senior Design is to design a solar tracking unit, paired with a solar panel, to accurately follow the movement of the sun throughout the year
Built a CAD model of the solar tracking system continued from previous senior students’ design
Calculated the maximum bearing force, bending force, torque force etc. of whole system
Chose the motor and designed the code for the motor chosen
Summer Research on Taylor Couette Flow Summer 2014
Purpose of research is to study the molecular movements in Taylor Couette Flow and think application of it in reality such as food mixture process
Performed Taylor Couette Flow on a horizontal tube and found that varying speeds of tube rotating could affect the movements of the molecular in the fluid
Used same density’s oil and very small particles to form buoyant fluid and infused it to the horizontal tube
Retrieved formula for latter application
