Responsible for manufacturing and supplier quality engineering, ensuring fab process, quality and yield meet company goals. Worked with process, test and yield engineers to address fab & customer issues, yield improvement and defect reduction teams by ensuring the product quality meets quality goals, reliability requirements and yield. Also, responsible for visual quality inspection (bright light and microscope) for incoming and outgoing wafer quality prior to shipment. In-charge in dispositioning all wafers rejected.

Identify/drive opportunities for improvement through structured problem solving methodologies. Identify root cause, corrective and preventive action to eliminate failures. Actively participate in process change reviews, Advance Quality Planning (AQP), control plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) updates.

Actively work on Material Review Board (MRB) or Problem Lot Disposition team (PLD) for appropriate disposition of non-conforming products. Determine the root cause with proper containment and corrective action plan for future prevention. Issues Internal Corrective Actions (ICARs) in response to non-compliances and tracking the associated CARs to ensure timely closure and effectiveness.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, worked with purchasing and different suppliers to address quality-related issues through supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions. Ensures that 8D responsiveness cycle time are met and are closed on timely manner. Also, perform supplier development review, audit and conduct regular status conference calls.

Monitor SPC trends on different fab parameters to ensure capabilities, formulate customer 8D reports, monthly/quarterly trends and track corrective actions to maintain cycle time and deliveries in progress.

Directly worked with QC Inspectors to assure products are tested, produced and release in Compliance with agreed specification. Perform audits of QC Techs to ensure they are performing to guidelines.

Site representative for cross-site advisories ensuring transfer of knowledge and lessons learned from different company facilities worldwide, to prevent reoccurring failures and quality incident.

Responsible for maintaining and improving existing quality systems, ensuring the department is operating in compliance with company quality policies and practices. Prepare documentation for quality inspection; maintain test specification, work instructions, flowcharts, OCAP (out of control action plan) for defect reduction. Also create global waivers for out of spec parameters, set-up maverick limits and test procedures. Coordinate calibration schedules. Create and maintain Quality Manual and create First Article Inspection based (AS9102).

Perform production, metrology and quality control audits. Active member of supplier and internal audit team, for ISO 9001, TS16949 and AS9100 systems.
