Liberty Mutual Insurance Company - Virtualization Business Case Development: Served as the senior management consultant, managing a team of analyst’s and subject matter experts, tasked with developing a data center virtualization business case and migration strategy. Responsibilities include documentation of current state environments, development of baseline financial data model, analysis of financial data, creation of a virtualization feasibility study, development of a migration roadmap and justification of the business case to the CIO.

Utilities, Inc (an AIG company) - JDE Implementation and Financial Transformation: Served as the chief architect and technical advisor for an enterprise wide infrastructure redesign. Responsibilities include; JDE computing architecture design, network redesign, datacenter hosting outsource negotiations, creating information security standards, people, technology and process recommendations, creating the company's technology roadmap and advising on vendor selection.

Citigroup - Process Improvement: Organized and Program Managed an ITIL based global IT process improvement project. Served as a subject matter expert and adviser for multiple project teams working to implement or improve; change management, problem and incident management, request management, service level management, configuration management and release management. Facilitated and taught process improvement workshops. Regularly met with senior level management and managing directors to provide status, advise in decision-making and direct the global program.

ATI Consulting

Partner – Technology Systems Integrator: Founded and operated this national technology company specializing in project management and infrastructure services. Responsible for Business Development, Vendor Management, Project Delivery, P&L and Back Office Operations.

Johnson & Johnson - Data Center Consolidation: Hired and managed a mixed team of 28 consultants and full time staff. Created the project methodology and developed the process and scope documentation for the PMO. Responsible for organizing and modeling this national data center consolidation project. Managed the implementation and testing of this company’s first VMware server farm. Consolidated or migrated a total of 419 Windows and 43 UNIX servers from 11 national data centers. Project managed a database migration team that successfully migrated 600+ databases in 7 months. This initiative was responsible for reducing the total cost of server ownership by $2 million annually.

Organon Pharmaceuticals - Windows XP and Server 2000 Deployment: Created the project methodology and deployment process. Project managed the design, testing, pilot, deployment and migration phases of this project. Responsible for implementing change and configuration management processes. Negotiated with the departments to define application acceptance criteria and SLA’s. Developed the re-qualification and system validation procedures. Responsible for international communications with the global project team. Reported status of the project and budget to the CIO. Responsible for reviewing and approving all SOP’s and quality documentation.

Novartis Pharmaceuticals - Validated Software Migration: Developed the migration strategies and authored the projects validation protocol. Developed and executed the risk management analysis. Validated the terminal server environment for all legacy applications. My team was responsible for Windows XP compatibility testing and validation qualification of 100+ applications. I conducted software suppliers and manufactures vender audits and authored the projects IQ\OQ\PQ testing requirements.

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (Now Pfizer) - Cisco Switched Network Deployment: developed the network risk analysis and created the overall project plan. Project managed the Cisco network design, deployment and migration. Hired and managed a team of 73 consultants and fulltime staff. Facilitated the construction of 15 new data closets and the deployment of 80 miles of fiber optic cable. Financially managed and was responsible for the $9 million implementation budget. Planned and managed the migration of 138 servers and 6000 devices to the new network. Produced monthly progress reports for senior staff and conducted project reviews and audits for the PMO. Created the project validation documents and submitted it to the FDA auditors.

American Home Products - Year 2000 Remediation: Conducted risk analysis and developed Y2K remediation action plans. Managed the Y2K project for the pharmaceutical research and manufacturing facility. Created year 2000 gap analysis for application testing and remediation efforts. Replaced 43 non Y2K compliant Novell servers with 15 new Compaq / Novell 4x servers. Implemented Novell GroupWise e-mail system and migrated 1700 users from cc:Mail. My team deployed 650 new workstations and migrated all user data. Upgraded Cabletron network firmware on routers, switches and hubs. Implemented Novell ZENworks for software distribution and desktop standardization. Served as the PMO for all Intel based computing systems.

American Home Products - Data Center Construction and Consolidation: Developed the project plan for the data center implementation in the corporate world headquarters. Conducted a technology assessment to determine equipment requirements. Managed the construction and controlled the schedule and was responsible for the budget accounting. Designed and Implemented a cybex switch network for the company. Implemented the first change control process used by the IT department. Worked with department heads to organize the server relocations. Migrated 78 servers from 3 other company locations.
