SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Worked with upper-level plant Management and Corporate office to develop more efficient budget for maintenance division, stores, and contractors, using CMMS system. Results: lowered Maintenance and stores budget by 8% using cost controls in CMMS system (SAP).

Lead shutdown team as Maintenance Manager for all shutdowns for the last 6 years. Coordinated team work between Maintenance, Operation, Contractors and Engineering as the Shutdown Manager to ensure that the shutdowns actives would be met and recognized prior to shut down and adjusted as needed. Responsible for all aspects of pre-planning, planning and scheduling as the lead Manager during all shutdown phases. Results: All shut downs were completed on time and without any lost time injuries.

Conducted monthly problem-solving team meetings, and one-on-one coaching with all Maintenance Department and Stores participants. Results: Improved morale and increased efficiency in all aspects of the Maintenance and Stores programs due to the development of a plan to meet company needs and time lines.

Trained all new Maintenance Planners in maintenance planning procedures and processes involved in inventory control, man hours management, and properly coordinating parts to equipment to develop an over-all picture of the Job Plan. Results: Reduced man-hours and up time of machinery over a one-year process of the improvement.

Created a preventative maintenance plan for all new equipment, using the planning developed, with the maintenance personnel team,(a step-by-step process on how to check for equipment failure). Results: This process kept maintenance involved in the planning process and improved man-hours, scheduling and up time of equipment.

Worked with stores to improve critical part identification and to lower inventory control, Introduced vendor parts control to achieve required time line for vendor controlled parts. Results: Reduced Parts inventory 28%; saved company @$2M in the first year.

Facilitated weekly planner/scheduling meetings with upper level plant managers and production managers, planners, schedulers, Results: Ensured that all new work orders were reviewed and the appropriate priority assigned to each; all man-hour opportunities were filled; kept costs down and up time in the 90 % range.

Charged with writing all J.S.A. and S.O.P. for each new machine center for a project. Results: This ensured the safe start up and operation of each machine center; project started up without any incidents, on time and under budget.
