RESEARCH PROJECTS

Metal Coating on the Brake Rotors:

Sprayed and coated on the various types of rotors with metals and improved the life of the brake rotors for the Automotive industries.

Coated surfaces improved the braking efficiency by decreasing the stopping distance of the vehicle.

Time of the coating was decreased by 25% by improving the process.

FLOWSIMULATION INSIDE THE NOZZLE:

Designed and Modelled short, medium and long nozzles using Part and GSD in Catia V5.

Implemented DFMEA and improvised the nozzles from the design phase to the practical production phase.

Simulations had been performed using ANSYS-FLUENT and Studied the Flow inside the nozzles and improved the Flow inside the nozzles.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

The University of Michigan- Dearborn

Simulation and Analysis of Shift Processes of a 6-speed FWD AT:

Simulated and analysed 1st Gear operation,1-2 shift and 2nd Gear Operation of the given 6 speed FWD Automatic Transmission of a midsize passenger car.

Modelled vehicle using the modelling tool MATLAB-SIMULINK.

Performed Simulation on one way clutch by general state equation and design constrains.

Analysed results are plotted with respect to engine torque, transmission input and output torques, clutch torque profiles, engine RPM, transmission input and output velocities, angular velocities of sun S1 and carrier C1, vehicle speed and acceleration.

Finite Element Analysis:

Designed and modelled a structure of bridge using Part design in Catia V5 to test the stresses inside the beams of the structure of the bridge.

Stress Analysis was performed in the bridge using Abaqus and Hypermesh and obtained the stress strain values.
