Experience

Upon completion of the Marines Corps Officers Graduation Course he was assigned to the Historic Naval Battalion where he began its work as Regent Assistant in the Symphonic Band of the Marine Corps (2001), Deputy Commander of the Bands Company (2004) and Regent Holder (2007), totaling twelve (12) years at the Bands Company of the Naval Battalion.

From 1992 to 2004, in Rio de Janeiro, he was the Regent Holder of the Reverend Paul Leivas Macalão Symphonic Band of the Evangelical Cathedral. From 1995 to 2007, also in Rio de Janeiro, he was the Regent Holder of the Symphonic Band of Campo Grande College of Philosophy. From 1992 to 2005, he was the Assistant Conductor of the Music Band of the “Souza Marques” College.

He joined the First International Conference for Music Education, held at the Federal University of Ceará - Sobral Campus (“Mucambinho”).

Currently, the Maestro Commander Marcos Leitão Rabello is the Officer in charge of the Improvement School of Sergeants Musicians and Buglers, located in the Instruction Center “Admiral Sylvio de Camargo” - CIASC-RJ, where he teaches History of Music and Regency.

Technical Skills

He participated of the Courses of Regency of Symphonic Bands and Orquestral Regency under the orientation of the Teacher Lanfranco Marcelett (USA/BRA) and Maestro Sandoval Moreno (Brazil) in the City of Fortaleza, Ceará State, where he acted as assistant of the Musical Director of the 7th International Festival of Music “Eleazar de Carvalho”. In the season of Opera of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro (2005), he acted as Maestro of the Scene Band in the Dom Carlo Opera (J.Verd).

In the years 2007-2008 he participated in a series of concerts in Brazilian capitals and cities (approximately 50 concerts), as part of the festivities of the Bicentennial Celebrations of the Patron of the Brazilian Navy (“Admiral Tamandaré”) and Bicentennial of foundation of the Marine Corps, respectively.

He participated abroad in the Symphonic Band concert at the First Meeting of the Three Borders Culture (Brazil-Paraguay- Argentina) held in the city of Puerto Iguazu (ARG), which was attended by the Minister of the Culture of Brazil Mr. Gilberto Gil.

He is the author of the Justification of the LAW No. 6,698 of February 27th, 2014, amending the Annex of the LAW No. 5,645, of January 6th, 2010, which consolidates the relative legislation to holidays in the state of Rio de Janeiro, instituting the MILITARY MUSICIAN SACRED DAY, which is now celebrated every November 12th.

Author of the following Works:

Military March "Our Heroes". A Tribute to Brazilian "Pracinhas" (Brazilian Army veteran soldiers who were sent to join the allied forces against fascism and nazism during the Second World War).

Academic Work called "History of the Brazilian Music from 1500 to Bossa Nova" ("Bossa Nova" is a genre of Brazilian music, which developed and was popularized in the 1950s and '60s.

Military music - Crystal Symphony (Hall of the Book of Paris-France 2011/2013 - Fifteenth International Biennial of the Book - Rio de Janeiro).

Worship and Praise - "A short essay".

Brazilian Battalion (BRABAT) Anthem - (BRABAT is how the Brazilian Battalion is called at the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).

He began his musical studies at the "Villa-Lobos" School of Music. In the School of Music of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), he was pupil of the Teacher Guillermo Scarabino (Argentina), group of Regency. Under the auspices of the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba and the Coordination of After-Graduation of the School of Music and Beautiful Arts of Paraná, he participated of the Course of Regency under orientation of the Teacher Markus Amgwerd (Switzerland). He concluded the course of Full Degree in History in the College of Philosophy of Campo Grande-Rio de Janeiro. He concluded the Bachelor and Full Degree in Letters Course (Portuguese and Literature) in the Souza Marques College-Rio de Janeiro, the course of Post-Graduation in Ecclesiastical Psychology in the August Motta University-Rio de Janeiro, and the Technique of Education Course, carried out in the Admiral Wandenkolk Training Center (CIAW).
