Lead Fibermaking Manufacturing Excellence Team Technician

Member of the Fibermaking Manufacturing Excellence Team as a coating technician. assisting with engineering implementation and providing well developed problem solving / troubleshooting for the draw communities.

Assigned to supervise a fibermaking shift team in the improved process operation for the

sister plant in Concord, NC. Trained and advised shift on best practices while maintaining the

highest output of the 4 available shifts. Supervised startup team to update continuous

improvement protocol for existing and new employees.

Utilizing engineered drafted drawing/blueprints to assess the equipment functionality and repairs

to the manufacturing equipment while maintaining the highest quality in production output.

Correlated coating defects to draw components to improve equipment performance. This included

the analysis of Primary Coating Axial Abrasions (PCAA) and development into various categories

for advanced troubleshooting under the quality department. Received Department Contribution

Award (DCA) for increased utilization creating cost savings of over $180,000 in the production

process. Analysis and organization of various components that spearheaded troubleshooting and

resolved reoccurring downtime production events.
