My extramural activities and achievements during my student days have contributed a great deal to my personal development. My interest and participation in many Student and National Arts Festivals prepared me well for working in teams and honing my leadership qualities.

oI have always been involved in Theatre productions, Festivals, Live Shows and have achieved a certificate of success as a Lighting and Sound Technician. (STATE THEATRE)

oDuring my second year, at the Tshwane University of Technology, I obtained distinctions for three subjects including lighting.

oI was also employed by the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees, Grahamstown National Arts Festival, Aardklop, InniBos Festivals as a Lighting and Sound Technician on a part time basis. I assisted students during registration by providing career information, also worked in the campus during open day.

My other interests include, spending time with my family, reading a variety of publications within the Technical side and new equipment.

CAREER ASPIRATIONS

I am seeking opportunities with scope for growth and personal development. My interest currently lies in areas that will allow me to further my career and utilize the wealth of knowledge and experience I have acquired over the three years in Technical University. My current focus is on Lighting designer/ Lighting Operator /Rigging/Sound Operator. I would like to further my work in Lighting and Sound.

In summary, I take my career very seriously, and have a keen interest in furthering my career at a more senior level of Operating [Lighting and / or Sound]. I am experienced, equipped and in future would be suited to these roles, and would like to progress my career. I view my aspirations as highly reasonable and achievable, and know that I can succeed in any role I am deployed in and will positively overcome any challenges it brings with it.
