Regional Launch Manager – Battery Group, Red Oak, IA 2004 to 2007

Created a new Launch Management department utilizing tools implemented in Johnson Controls Automotive Group. While creating the department, direct project involvement included:

Project and Launch Manager for the design, construction, installation and start-up of a 320,000 sq. ft. formation and distribution center in Yuma, AZ.

Responsible for the final development and roll out of a “state of the art” positive grid manufacturing process. Accountable for all aspects of a 300 employee, form, fill, service and distribution center for lead-acid batteries including goal setting and oversight for customer service, production and finances while acting as Project Manager for the 130,000-sq. ft., $16,000,000, expansion of the distribution facility to include a new state of the art “Waterbath” formation process significantly reducing annual operating. Able to achieve the IBSA “On Time Delivery Award” with a record shipping performance during the first year of full operations at the new facility.
