Resident representative: Responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the project plans and specifications for:“The Everglades Restoration Project”. Project included two pump stations with a capacity of 6,500 cf. The structure consisted of more than 35,000 cubic yards of concrete to house seven pumps each about nine feet in diameter with large diesel engines. The pump stations included their own water purification system, fuel storage tanks, concrete bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, earthwork, roadways and instrumentation & control systems. Duties included reinforcement steel inspection, forms erection, concrete placement, precast concrete walls, equipment installation and mechanical systems. Interior areas: 40,000 ft2. Exterior areas: 56,000 ft2. Value: USD$56 million. Project on time and within budget with estimated saving of 4.5%.
