a) Profile
I have been a programming enthusiast since my teenage age. I enjoy writing codes for data/signal
processing, numerical analysis and machine learning (SVM). I also have deep interest in cryptography
and information security.
Age: 28 years old
Nationality: Malaysia
Language: Malay (native), English (IELTS 7.5), Japanese (JLPT 2)
b) Programming experiences, skillset.
Languages: Python, C/C++, VB.NET and Fortran77.
Most of my experiences are in image processing field. (Scikit-image and OpenCV)
Dev environment: Windows and Linux (Debian variant)
Machine learning (SVM)
CUDA: Numerical solver for Burgers' equation, image convolution
c) Working experiences
1. 2011-2012: Teaching assistant (C programming for numerical calculation).
2. 2012: Part time OCR developer for MyHalal Corp.
1
3. 2015 onwards: Freelance programmer.
d) Education
Apr 2006 Mar 2009 Diploma in Electric and Electronic engineering
University of Selangor, Malaysia
Apr 2009 Mar 2011 Degree in Applied electronics
Tokyo University of Science, School of Industrial Science and Tech.
Apr 2011 Mar 2013 Masters Degree in Applied electronics
Tokyo University of Science, Graduate School of Industrial Science and Tech.
Sep 2013 Mar 2017 Ph.D. program (Expected graduation Sep 2017)
Tokyo Institute of Technology, Department of Information processing
e) Research summary
1. Undergrad thesis summary
Using diffraction images of particles inside fluid in a micro-channel, I reconstructed the 3D
coordinates and calculate the fluid velocities. Wall coatings will affect the velocity profile. Future
application in lab-on-chip technology.
2. Masters thesis summary
Based on particles intensity illuminated by evanescent light, I estimated the bio-particles Z-axis and
reconstructed the 3D coordinates and Brownian motion. Future application in biomedical field.
3. Ph.D. research summary
Given a transparent tissue sample taken from a cancer patient, can we estimate how severe the diseases
just based on its quantitative phase image? Probably yes.
