Looking for long term work with a great company. I have 30 years of experience as an Operator & Mechanic in the heavy equipment construction field. Working for companies helping train fellow employees has something I take great pride in. With the Kiewit Company I was their trainer to qualify operators on the different model & types of cranes. I want to use this knowledge to help build a great company. Every piece of equipment in the fleet has great importance from the smallest to the largest so I understand that it does not matter what piece of equipment I am Operating or taking care of it has great importance. I have always enjoyed the traveling part of this business it keeps it fresh & exciting.

General Foreman
Daily responsibilities for a large fleet of cranes and operators. Keeping costs down on the mechanical repairs threw Preventive maintenance and making sure we had the correct amount of operators for positive availability without cranes just sitting with operators in them to help lower our unit cost of effectively building a project. The last 4 years working for the company I had a daily average of 30 Operators & mechanics under my control. A key to any successful fleet is a great preventive maintenance program. I feel the company had a very good PM Program. The project ran two shifts for 3 years straight with 4- tower cranes, 2 - Liebherr LR1300 Crawlers, 1 - 9310 230 ton American Crane, 2 - 9299 165 ton American crawler crane, 1- 3900 Manitowoc Crawler crane, 6- 12K All Terrain Forklifts.
In the beginning of this project we used Excavators & Articulated truck spread to dig the casting basin so the floating bridge pieces could be built.
The previous project we built a large storage facility At Bangor Naval Base.
Our fleet consisted of, 3 - Tower cranes, 2 - 9299 American Crawler, 3 Series 700 Grove All Terrain Cranes. This Project for the dirt work we used a mix of Scrapers & D10 Cat & Excavator, Articulated trucks & all the Support Equipment.
The first couple of projects I worked on was the Hood Canal Floating Bridge & Stop Log Project @ Priest Rapids Dam. We set 425,000 lbs. stop logs down into the dam with a Water Derrick that we assembled on the project. During this time I also operated the DB. Pacific & DB. Seattle.

This was my first job out of High School & started out a Mechanic Helper. Within 6 months I was advanced to the crane operator. I took a job back in the shop rebuilding Cat engines & transmissions. After 4 years they sent me to a project to take on a role of Field Service Mechanic. My next advancement in the company they made me a Preventive Maintenance Planner. Which consisted of gathering information on the equipment & writing work orders & ordering the needed parts to repair the machine? Schedule the machine with production so they knew the time frame the machine would not be available for production. The next advancement in the company was Maintenance Manager Responsibilities was to make decisions on mechanical repairs including major component change out & purchases. Rent all needed equipment for the projects that was not available through our equipment dept. All hiring of mechanics & handling the equipment training & sign off for crane operation.
