I am currently employed by BAPETCO petroleum Company (Shell - EGPC joint venture) in Egypt as Shell Well Engineering Round-2 accredited drilling supervisor. I had B.Sc. of Petroleum Engineering from Cairo University since May 2008 with grade very good with honor degree. Having (+ 8) experience in Drilling, Workover and completion operations for different types of land wells: Low-Med-High risk, exploration and development, Oil and Gas, Deep and Shallow, Vertical-deviated- Horizontal wells. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HSE

Leader of the well site team with overall responsibility for conducting well operations in a safe and efficient manner.

Ensures compliance with Policies and standards.

Leads safety meetings.

Leads service company pre-job safety meetings to ensure good communication and cooperation.

Identifies high risk situations, document them, and adopts risk mitigation using tools such as JSA,…etc.

Performs daily QHSE / rig inspections.

Implements the application of the Permit-To-Work System at the rig site.

Assures the issuing and dissemination among the rig site personnel of all Emergency Response Plans to handle unscheduled events when occur.

Conducts Safety Drills related to well control and other potential hazards involved in well operations.

Participates in HSE event investigations and reporting as required.

Focal point for emergency response.

Make sure Temporary drops check list checked and filled before certain jobs like casing running, Logging….ect.

Planning and Operation

Supervise drilling operation of development and exploration oil and gas Wells in WD Egypt.

Supervise all drilling operation start from rig move, site preparations, to rig release onshore areas in western desert.

Ensuring that drilling programs are adhered to each step of the operation.

Issues Written Instructions to Drillers for each tour based on well program highlighting potential risks such as stuck pipe, losses and kicks.

Prepares detailed procedures for specific well operations (running casing, cementing, logging etc.).

Supervise different open hole and cased hole fishing operation like reverse cut and thread, over stripping, use overshot, running whipstock etc.

Plans, reviews and directs the receipt of materials and spares required for ongoing and contingent drilling operations on assigned rig.

Includes planning requirements, reviewing and approving field requisitions for materials and consumables.

Performs all well site calculations.

Ensures well control event preparedness (SCR’s, Leak off Tests, BOP Tests, kick sheets, shut in procedure etc.).

Ensures stuck pipe event preparedness (Drillers’ first actions, maximum allowable over pull, fishing equipment etc)

Includes ensuring that all equipment, fishing tools, tubular and run in the hole tools are available and regularly imputed in accordance with established procedures and maintenance schedules.

Coordinates all rig movements including planning tool service requirements and materials in accordance with the defined drilling program.

Attends the rig floor to supervise critical activities such as (but not limited to) landing, cementing, and testing casing; flow checks, and while pulling through open holes etc.

Supervises rig maintenance activities to ensure that all drilling equipment is in good working condition and directs preventive and/or break down maintenance/repairs as required.

Includes inspecting well site, coordinating site preparation and road connections with Construction Section, providing detailed instructions to contractors for each stage of the rig move, liaising with other sections including safety, security and ensures that rig is correctly aligned on site.

Verifies adherence to instructions and procedures.

Organizes pre-job meeting (Operations and safety).

Maintains “7 day planner” to anticipate resource requirements to meet well demands and provide optimum efficiency of services including contingency plans.

Prepares Standard Equipment Lists (if applicable) in a timely manner for each phase of the well.

Ensures Material Requests are issued in a timely manner to avoid disruption of operation.

Responsible for checking equipment on site to ensure readiness. (QA/QC).

Manages proper inventory of consumable drilling supplies such as cement, barite, bits, and nozzles, etc.

Reviews and approves the comments report when appropriate and maintains accurate records of all activities carried out on assigned rig.

Supervise using different type of mud like spud mud, KCL poly Mud, Gel poly Mud, OBM, Hydrogard Mud. Also, run lab mud pilot test and check SRE (solid removal equipment before spud & while drilling).

Supervise running different sizes of casing ( 18 5/8”, 13 3/8”, 9 5/8”, 7”, 4 Tubing (4 ”, 3 ”, 2 7/8” ) with different thread types ( BTC, VAM, TENARIS –BLUE, PH-6) ) and liners in vertical and deviated holes.

Supervise first cemented completion in BAPETCO.

Supervise wire line and slick line operation in drilling and work over rigs.

Supervise handling and running 3 ”,4 ” (13% Cr and super Chrome TBG.)

Run different BHA ( Drop off assy. – Build up assy., Stiff, packed off assy., Silk assy., Directional assy., RSS assy.).

Experienced partial, complete loss and blind drilling.

Supervise stuck pipe operation (Mech. differential), oil spotting & jarring, FPI, string shot & back off & side track after putting CMT plug above the left over fish and through whipstock.

Prepare contingency plan for well abandon / evacuation in case of well control.

Make bit selection according to litho logy and offset well.

Make drill string design calculation for different hole size.

Supervise running liner hanger, tie back packer, scab liner and CSG patch.

Communication

Prepares/approves accurate Daily Report with input from rig contractor and service company personnel in a timely manner
