I am an experienced Quality Professional with over 25 years’ experience in training, team building, auditing, implementing and monitoring Quality Systems for commercial, DOD, DOE and NRC job sites and manufacturing facilities. Experienced in the following quality systems ISO/QS 9000, ASME Section I, III, VIII, NQA-1, 10CFR Part 50 Appendix B and 10CFR 830.120, 122. I have taken two plant locations through ISO 9001 certification and re-certification process, and ASME Section I, III & VIII certification and re-certification. Responsibilities also included departmental budget and staffing, review of contracts for quality requirements, generating work instructions, review and submittal of documentation packages to customer’s representatives.

Source Surveillance for CB&I at their facility manufacturing Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel piping modules for VC Summer and Vogtle Nuclear Power Plants for the new AP 1000 design nuclear power plants. Corporate Quality Manager – Responsible for day-to-day management of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Managed seven quality technicians and inspectors. Also responsible for supplier qualification, certification, and auditing of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), quality of subcontracted equipment, service and installation of Aqua-Chem equipment worldwide. Attained ISO 9001 certification for two locations (Knoxville and Milwaukee), and attainted ASME, Section III and VIII certifications. Reduced scrap and rework by $3,000,000 and reduced inspection costs by 30%. NDE Level III MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT. Instrumental in increasing supplier delivery performance to 97%.

July 1987 – January 1989 MQS Inspection

Laboratory Supervisor – Responsible for day-to-day operation of a destructive and non-destructive testing laboratory (scheduling, budgets, customer complaints, etc.). Supervised 36 technicians for both in-house and fieldwork (construction, pipelines, power plants, etc.). Managed a $4,000,000/year budget. Set up real-time radiographic system to inspect over 1,000,000 boxes of cake mix for Proctor & Gamble and over 400,000 ignition switches for missing components for Chrysler Motors.
