SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:

Total work experience of 30 years in Cement Plant, Power Plant & Mining Projects and operation.

1.Since 12th May 2014, I am working as Business Head (Head of Projects & Operations) with G S Cimentos, Maputo, Mozambique, a 1500 TPD green field Cement Plant Project.

2.From 1st March’2007 to 10th May 2014 worked in ABG Cement Limited as Head of Projects (Planning, Engineering, Monitoring and Management). This was a Green Field project of 4.0 MTPA Clinker manufacturing, 6.0 MTPA Mining of Limestone, Split location 6.0 MTPA Cement Grinding Unit with 4 x 25 MW Captive Power plant, Captive Sea water Desalination Plant and Two Captive Jetties (one at each location) to handle 12 Million Tons of Bulk Material. Total Capex Rs. 3000 Cr. Also implemented SAP Project System Module as Business Process Owner.

3.From 10/07/2003 to 28/02/2007 worked as Head of Project & Engineering dept. in Sanghi Industries Limited, Ahmedabad.

i.Also worked as Head of Integrated Management System i.e. ISO 9001, 14000 & 18000.

ii.We did up-gradation of Kiln from 7500 TPD to 9500 TPD with addition of an additional preheater.

iii.Improved Cement Mill production from 120 tpd to 210 tpd, reduced specific heat consumption from 850 t0 730 Kcal/Kg Clinker. Reduced specific power consumption from 100 to 88 KWH/ton cement.

iv.Improves Mining operation with Surface Miners.

4.Since 13/06/1986 to Nov 1992 worked in Grasim, on two Large Cement Plant Projects of 0.5 MTPA (New Vikram Cement), 1.0 MTPA (Vikram Super Cement) capacities. I also worked as process engineer in production department during operations of the plants.

I have given a new technical solution to the state Electricity department to improve the ampacity of the transmission lines and feed power to the starved areas.

Working as Head of Projects and reporting to Managing Director of the company. Responsible for all activities related to construction of the cement & power plant viz. Conceptualisation, Statutory Clearances, Liaison with State & Central Govt Agencies, Project Planning, Sizing & Selection of equipment, Engineering, Procurement, Negotiations, Award of Contract, Scheduling, Implementation, monitoring and Performance tests.

This was a Green Field project, started from concept stage by me, of 4 MTPA Clinker and 6 MTPA Cement production capacities with 4 X 25 MW Captive Power plant, 4 MLD Captive Sea water Desalination Plant and two 200 m x 30 m Captive Jetty at Kutch and Surat and Limestone Mining of 6 MTPA.

I have been responsible for procurement, recruitment, implementation, assisting Managing Director in Board meetings, Meetings with Consortium of banks, Financial Institutions, for development of business through identifying new area for putting up new cement plants, acquisition of new limestone mines, logistics modes and routes for cement despatches. Identifying international locations for new cement plants. We had started one project in Indonesia. We had acquired limestone mines in Katni (M.P.) and Bundi (Rajasthan) for new cement Plants.

Acquisition of coal & Gypsum mines in India and abroad. One Gypsum mines was acquired in Oman.

Various other in house studies were taken up for optimisation of energy consumption & production enhancement viz.

A. Production increased from 7500 to 8500 TPD avg. (9000 max from 7500 TPD design kiln)

B. Reduction of Specific fuel consumption, from 850 Kcal/Kg to 730 Kcal/Kg

C. Increased cement mill production from 165 to 205 TPH

D. Reduction in Specific power consumption from 100 to 88 KWH/MT.

Project Description: Objective of the Project is to capture the Entire Business Scenario. Modules Involving with in the project are MM, PS, SD, FICO, PP, PM, QM, HR & ABAP R/4. PS is integrated with FICO, QM, PM & MM.
