Employment History

Jan 2015 to Jan 2017: TH Plastics in Findlay Ohio.

I was employed as the second shift production supervisor working with injection molding machines making parts for Whirlpool’s Clyde, Marion and Findlay plants also for parts for GM. My main focus was machine manning, employee training, machine efficiencies, scrap rates, using manning in profitable ways, Checking first piece quality, LVC cards, proper work instructions were in place and changed as the parts being produced changed. Did some minor robot work and learned some processing skills and troubleshooting. I had 3 assistant supervisors, 8 team leads and 40-50 operators that were direct reports. Plus an off- site warehouse, shipping and receiving department. Attended staff meetings daily and conducted shift meetings every day. Tracked employee hours using Work Force Management and used IQMS scheduling and inventory management.

Sept 2010 to Dec 2014 Arthur Corporation, Huron, Ohio.

I was hired as an assistant to the plant manager to assist with new employee training (creating an employee hand book), establish written quality protocols and acquiring gauges and other tools to physically check parts, then training the operators on these tools and methods to establish consistent part quality from a variety of different production machines. Would troubleshoot machinery problems, worked with several new maintenance employees to bring them up to speed. Also did time study work, root cause analysis, started 5s program and instituted some basic lean principles into the production culture at Arthurs. When the 2nd shift supervisor retired I was slotted to take his place and was responsible for 8 thermoforming machines, 3 extruders and 4 small injection molding machines, 2 grinders, shipping and receiving and monthly HACCP updates as we were a food service supplier. Was also the shift maintenance person. Left Arthurs to go to TH Plastics for better pay and advancement opportunities.

Jan 2010 to June 2010 Dillen Products, Middlefield, Ohio

I was contracted for 6 months as a fill in Production supervisor on 2nd shift. My main duties was to assign manning to the proper machines, quality checks, assist with changeovers, minor machine maintenance, some warehouse functions and employee training.

My main responsibilities were training employees, machine manning for 8 thermoforming machines, parts quality, any machine maintenance, plant security, employee hours, any necessary discipline and any shipping and receiving such as loading-unloading trucks and any associated paperwork. I was a very hands on supervisor. Started a 5s program and led the safety team and championed several projects to improve overall plant safety. Laid off due to the economy.

Apr 2003 to Aug 2005 Consolidated Biscuit Co., McComb, Ohio

I was the 2nd shift warehouse and shipping-receiving supervisor, responsible for 18 forklift drivers, 3 auto palletizer employees and 4 warehouses. Checked and expedited intercompany shuttles of raw materials, assigned drivers to live load trucks and did all the appropriate paperwork, kept track of employees work hours, handled any disciplinary problems( write ups, terminations, etc.) and scheduling to keep the production lines stocked with all the needed raw materials. Used AS400 and Kronos. I left CBC for better pay and a position much closer to home.

Salary and shift requirements

I don’t really have a specific shift requirement. I have worked most every kind of shift hours. Salary is open and negotiable.
