I am seeking a leadership position in a Project Management situation that will afford me the opportunity to utilize my 30+ years of IT management experience. I have managed numerous full life cycle projects utilizing Waterfall and PMBOK based methodology. Projects include; full lifecycle Hardware/Software, Training and Service components with scales upwards of 3+ million in budget and 1,350 physical locations. While working at the national and international scope level I have managed upwards of 25 technical projects simultaneously in matrixed environments. Professional experience consists of various IT leadership level positions where I have defined improvement opportunities and been known for my ability to translate technology into a format that the business can understand and for delivering results with timely ROI.

10/08 – Present

Senior, Project Manager Electrolux Major Appliances

Oversight of Business oriented projects including Hardware, Software and Business Analysis, Business Process Design, Relationship Management, Vendor management and Budgeting with major emphasis in HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Infrastructure areas.

Recently completed a 3 year 2 million dollar rollout of Kronos Workforce Central Time & Attendance which paid for itself before the end of 2nd year of rollout in reduced labor costs alone. Audience was Human Resources and Plant Operations leadership at (5) locations in the US. Rollout plans for Canada and Mexico locations are under consideration.

Maintained on average 6-8 additional projects at any given time along with the major project including but not limited to, Kiosk systems, reengineering of a financial systems AR & Payables to reduce costs and FTE counts, Credit/Bank Card processing projects, Website content refreshes to drive online sales, Sales support systems to provide sales teams in the field current product information, Windows Server Consolidations applications we migrated from Hardware to VMWare, reducing costs and support time. Network Refreshes to provide required capacity for tablet and smart phone use, Desktop, Laptop and printer refreshes and PMO related system design, SharePoint 2010 project support sites and PM process training and Mentorship.

Maintained IT Audit Leadership role for all of North America and established processes and SharePoint sites that contributed to passing the audit with no findings. This was the first time since IT Audit was established for this company that North America passed. Business has continued to pass since 2011 due to process and documentation requirements implemented.

Significant time working with business partners in a full lifecycle capacity to define needs and recommend technical solutions to assist in overcoming business constraints. Traveled to Sweden, Canada, Mexico and (5) locations in North America to do solution rollouts and manage go live triage efforts as well as to analyze needs and present project requests, in preparation for creating Investment Requests to obtain funding to overcome these constraints..

Contract Sr. Technical Project Manager – BMW

Contract consultant to BMW, Inc. managing the Roll-Out of ITIL projects in an Infrastructure setting for BMW Americas Region

ITIL initiatives include Change Management, Release Management, Incident Management and Problem Management using such tools as Remedy, MS Project Server & SharePoint 2007 Portal for tracking and reporting.

Business Analysis and Reporting.- Utilization of tools such as Excel, Access, SQL scripts and ODBC connections against Oracle and MS/SQL databases to produce reports in Crystal 9, Adobe Acrobat and Excel html stored on network shares and published to SharePoint 2007 sites.

12/05 – 9/06 Denny’s Inc. Spartanburg, SC

Sr. Manager Network & Infrastructure

Managed desktop support team that supported 550 company restaurants and the corporate facility. Team was a revenue generating group utilizing the IBM self maintainer program for providing warranty support for laptops and desktops.

Managed a 3 person server administration team in a 7/24 mission critical environment running numerous platforms such as HP/UX, Windows and Linux on IBM Blades and Rack mounts and HP 4000 servers. The environment was a multi-terabyte Sun SAN environment supporting Lawson ERP, Oracle, Hyperion/ESSBASE, Novell, Active Directory and Lotus Notes. Increased up time efficiency by 10%.

Managed a network support team in an all Cisco environment for corporate and restaurant locations. Projects included intrusion protection and VPN initiatives.

Managed a 550 site $3M E-Learning initiative project to include the procurement of equipment, management of software content vendor and coordination of the network and installation vendors. Project was brought in on time and under budget.

Oversaw all infrastructure projects, completing over 25 by the third quarter.

12/04 – 12/05 Volt Services, Computer Sciences Corporation, Augusta, GA

Contract Area Manager - Textron Project

Manage Desktop Services for the Southeastern Region (VA to MS).

Responsibilities include managing support services for 1500+ PC's, 50+ Wintel Servers, AS/400 and a staff of 15 technologists within SQL 2000 and Oracle 8i & 9i environments.

Serve as Operations Manager and Product Delivery Lead. Responsibilities include securing P&L's for IT Infrastructure Services in a multi business unit environment.

Sr. Project Manager for all Textron related Managed Desktop Services projects worldwide. Recognized as being the largest service revenue generating area per technologist on this contract for quarter 1 2005. Team recognized for leading the way in innovations and the establishment of process and procedure implementations to enhance service flow.

Effectively increased project revenues by increasing accurate scope of projects and deliverables for Managed Desktop Services worldwide.

Effectively decreased project SOW turns around from 15 days to 5 while increasing accurate project scope and deliverables.

02/04 – 12/04 IT Consultant / Business Solution Provider, Spartanburg, SC

Project Manager

Responsible for new customer development and technical business solutions to the customer base such as: supplying contract and long term personnel, venture capital, business plans, project management, technology solutions and the business partners needed for companies to reach the next plateau in their business life cycle.

Supported various local small to medium business customers with such services as Windows 2003 Systems Administration, Hardware Troubleshooting, Project Management and installation of POS related hardware & software/systems.

08/02 – 03/04 PCSS, Inc., Boiling Springs, SC

Director of Client Services

Responsible for leading the Support, Training and Software Implementation teams for a Tier One software development company who specializes in case management software for the Judicial Sectors of State and Municipal Governments. Customer base consisted of 100 plus customers located in over 20 US States and numerous Caribbean nations. Project budgets ranged: $100,000 to $2,000,000.

Senior Project Executive for all new customer rollouts and software upgrade projects.

Managed from concept to delivery, web based projects that allowed the customer to give access to the public case management data stored in SQL tables. Site functionality also included providing for online credit card processing to enable web-enabled electronic fine payments.

Worked directly with customer executive teams to resolve issues and establish guidelines for software use and implementations. Administered and sold additional software licensing.

Responsible for assigning support and development tasks to the Software Development Team. This team designed applications that ran in an AS/400 environment and a Windows NT/2000 SQL environment. Introduced the SDLC concept to the development environment and mentored best practices in development concepts.

Worked with the Development staff to create and publish content (Entity Relationship Diagrams) on company web site.

Responsible for directing the companies Quality Control efforts and software testing efforts to insure quality release control.

Performed business analyst role with various financial and sales levels, resulting in detailed pricing and contract requirements. Managed services delivery of contract requirements within scope of contract. Managed upwards of 20+ software projects at any given time in a multi- customer multi-state environment.

Generated Crystal Reports. Conducted training of Crystal 8.5 reporting concepts and assisted customers in extracting data for reporting from Oracle 8, SQL 7 & SQL 2000 databases.

Instituted a web-based Customer Service site for reporting and tracking of software incidents. This site was fully integrated with email notifications, incident escalations and online reporting capabilities.

08/01 – 08/02 CommScope, Inc., Newton, NC

Transaction Systems Team Leader (Contract)

Responsible for leadership of the AS/400, UNIX and Oracle Database teams in a multi-location international manufacturing environment.

Project Manager for a High Availability project for both the AS/400 and Oracle/Unix environments.

Managed the project to build a new 2,000 square foot corporate data center, including the installation of an IBM AS/400-830, the installation of two N-Class HP/UX servers and the consolidation of the Lotus Notes, Window2000 and Citrix servers as well as the Cisco networking equipment. Downtime for total services during migration was 12 hours.

Managed the installation of software and hardware solutions to build in fault tolerance and to facilitate the automated switch over to the High Availability hardware at a remote location.

Lead project to investigate infrastructure requirements for Cognos Data Warehouse. Met with vendors such as HP and EMC to determine appropriate SAN technologies for this application.

Developing a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plan around the High Availability efforts.

Analyzed processes and developed an operational policies and procedure manual.

Managed the procurement and installation of 2 L-Class HP/UX Servers for a SAS reporting initiative.

Negotiated with Oracle for additional licensing needs and restructured current licensing which resulted in 100K savings over 3 years.

Conducted the search for Change Management software solutions and managing the Change Management team as they set up and maintained this system.

Resource Allocation Manager

Managed Employee Resource Allocation for 100 technical employees for the South Eastern Regional Network Operations Center.

Master Project Manager with oversight of 8 concurrent ERP Implementation Projects including Lawson, JDE and Oracle.

Allocated staff to production and project support efforts and resolved resource conflicts. Hired additional contract and permanent technical staffing to fulfill resource shortfalls.
