Special Education/504/ESOL/SBT responsibilities include: IDEA compliance; coordinate and lead IEP meetings annually for approximately 114 students; coordinate and lead 504 meetings annually for approximately 103 students; provide testing and accommodations for approximately 10 active English Language Learners and approximately 15 English Language Learners who have exited ESOL, but are being monitored; Coordinate and proctor special testing for college board tests on our campus that include ACT, SAT and AP; write, implement and monitor RTI, BIPs and FBAs with fidelity; provide monthly consultation for all students with IEPs on consult through monthly face to face meetings with teachers to update present levels and goals; write measurable goal reports quarterly; oversee and ensure that differentiated instruction is being provided in general education classrooms and that accommodations are being followed consistently in the classrooms; monitor all students with IEPs and 504s as well as monitor those who are in the ESOL program; meet with students to discuss post-secondary goals (lifelong plans) and coordinate agencies that can help them transition; administer skills/interests inventories to help them discover areas of strength and of interest; mediate and act as liaison among teachers, administration, parents, guidance and students in regards to special testing, accommodations, differentiated instruction, behavioral concerns, etc... I have maintained 100% compliance in Special Education, 504s and ESOL since I started in 2013.
