PROJECTS
MAE 111 Design Project: Jet Engine Model
Concept and design of a Turbo Jet Engine using Solid Edge 7.
The outcome of this project was to create a design with more than thirty parts, and to have at least two motors with moving parts.
MAE 284 Programming Project:
The objective of this project was to create a program using finite analysis and MATLAB to calculate the distribution of heat across a 2-D slab and generate a graphic model displaying the final results.
MAE 311 Project: Instrument to measure magnetic flux and velocity
The objective of this project was to create and build an instrument to that would take accurate measurements with the aid of a programmable Arduino.
Built equations to show the conservation and conversion of mechanical energy to electrical energy.
Took measurements of magnetic flux, induced voltage, and velocity of a magnet falling through a solenoid.
Built an apparatus using plywood, pvc pipe, wire, breadboard, and two photo electric sensors.
The outcome of this project was to see how precise the measurements were taken and the ingenuity of the design and programming and present information in a final report.
MAE 491 Senior Design Project: Venturi Car Safety Project (Team Lead)
Objective of the project is to find a reliable process of detecting life through the detection of CO2
Designed sensor array for the detection of CO2
Gained experience with serial communication between Sensors and MATLAB
Designed and implemented experimental processes.
Compiled, analyzed, and presented experimental data.
