EXPERIENCE

2013 – 2016 SITA Information Networking Computing USA, Inc., Atlanta, GA Senior Project Manager

Managed two projects to certify biometric software and equipment with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Customs and Border Protection (CBP); coordinated with EU software developers, CBP Washington DC project team and local airport (MIA & MCO) airport administrations and local CBP. Certification was granted by CBP within timeframe to complete the projects on time and within budget.

Once the HW/SW was certified, coordinated and managed the deployment of biometric hardware and of the customized software development process throughout the top-tier U.S. airports (MIA, MCO, BOS, PHL, SAN, LAX, TPA, HNL). The projects consisted of managing the procurement of all the hardware: biometric equipment, data center servers and network components; and managing the installation and configuration utilizing 3rd party vendors and consultants, coordinating with EU software developers and optimizing the use of limited deployment resources at multiple airport locations. In less than 2 years, I managed the installation of over 500 biometric units, the servers and the network equipment to support the units at 8 of the top-tier airports. To support the transmission of very sensitive passenger data, for entry into the U.S, I had background clearance and badges from each of the airports (MIA, MCO, BOS, PHL, SAN, LAX, TPA, HNL) and from U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in order to work in the FIS.

2011 – 2012 Fulcrum Consulting, LLC, Atlanta, GA

Consultant – Project Manager at Delta Air Lines, Atlanta, GA Managing multiple projects simultaneously for Delta’s revenue accounting and Rev Pipeline systems. Collaborate with PMO office and business partners, delivering software development and testing projects on time and under budget. Projects utilize standard management methodology including SDLC. Application projects I manage at Delta include replacing a global agency portal and implementing airline loyalty carriers

Technical Manager – Project Manager

Support Manager – managed the customer service experience between our customers, IBM Consultants, software engineering and QA teams. Developed customer support processes and procedures to manage the client experience; defect tracking and new product enhancements requests. Maintain constant communication with customer accounts via regular and ad-hoc meetings and by updates to the Bugzilla defect tracking system. Collaborated with other teams and escalated relevant customer issues to QA team for further validation or assigned defects to engineering for resolution. Produced management reports using Word, Excel and PowerPoint identifying high priority accounts and increasing their visibility to management. Assisted the QA team with product testing of Sybase SQL, DDL and DML customer code on the product and submitting defects to the engineering team for troubleshooting and correction. Release Manager – for the ANTs Sybase to IBM DB2 database migration product. Worked directly with the IBM DB2 Program Management team to develop product ship and release criteria and managed the release process with my counterpart at IBM Labs. Co-developed the business metric with IBM and reported QA test results, product defect status and reviewed the roadmap to confirm that the quality standards had been met and to certify the readiness of each product release.

2004 – 2010 Software Consultant – Independent/Freelance, FL Consultant – Project Manager, Business Analyst, Delivery Manager Managed productivity software implementation projects, utilizing BPM/content management software systems, at large commercial real estate broker/appraisal firms. Software used included SQL Server and MSOffice products Access, Excel, Word, as infrastructure tools. Staff productivity generally increased about 30 percent. Responsible for the project management of automated vault services systems for the archiving and retrieval of reports per government regulations.

2004 – 2004 FileNet Corporation, Costa Mesa, CA (via home office) Systems Consultant

Determined the client’s needs through problem analysis and user requirements gathering and presented proposed solutions via proof of concept projects, live presentations, web-based seminars and business and technical workshops. Business solutions included the Enterprise Content Management product suite: Content Manager, BPM integration and Image Manager.

2001 – 2003 Reuters America, Inc., Miami, FL (via home office) Reuters Consultant – Project Manager & Business Analyst Responsible for management of global project for a reseller of TIBCO software products including problem analysis, scope, user requirements and developing the statement of work (SOW). Implementations included custom solutions for potential clients. Responsibilities included project management of POC & implementation projects, responding to RFI/RFPs, preparing and delivering technical proposals to potential clients. Participated in mainframe (legacy) and LUW projects in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, Chile and Argentina. Accomplishments:

• Project manager of a large scale POC engagements with clients; successes included a large mining company that installed a multi-platform, mainframe, UNIX, and PC integration and portal solution for SAP, B2B, & BPM. $3.5M services/licenses.

• Assisted with the project management, performed needs analysis, requirements gathering and technical sales activities in order to develop the SOW for a government agency integrating various departments and branches throughout the country. Initial project, funded by the World Bank, for Department of Finance (Federal Reserve) with potential for integration with other government Departments. Total of $30M services and licenses.

• Built and maintained relationships with local sales offices and partners; assisted with global project management support and in local sales efforts by presenting custom solutions utilizing integration, workflow, BPM, B2B, web services, XML and portal solutions.

1999 – 2001 Mercator Software, Inc. Atlanta, GA (acquired by IBM) Product Specialist

Assisted the direct and partner sales organizations with the marketing of Mercator Software by assisting in relationship building, providing technical demonstrations of Mercator product that included technical architecture overview and PowerPoint presentations, both onsite and remote.
