WORK HISTORY
08/2016 to Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Acti-Kare – Glen Allen, Va 23059
I was hired as an in home caregiver. My duties include assisting with ADL's, administering medicine, light house keeping, and sometimes transportation. This company does not have a medical license. It is hard to receive correct information on the client to care for them as efficient as possible. This company is disorganized, has no workman's compensation, and have often undermined the care I reported that needed to be given. Responded appropriately to the physical, emotional and developmental needs of patients. Obtained information about client's medical history, drug history, complaints and allergies. Cooked appetizing and satisfying meals and snacks. Scheduled and accompanied clients to medical appointments. 01/2016 to 06/2016 Canvasser and Telemarketer
Paramount Builders – Virginia Beach, VA
As a canvasser, I went door to door offering help and information to homeowners about the exterior conditions of their homes. This company sells siding, gutters, trim, roofs, windows, etc. It was my job to offer the product I felt was the most urgent and try to get the homeowner to agree to a specific date and time one of our representatives could come out to show them the product and give them a "down to the penny quote". I had to quit canvassing because my knees couldn't handle five nights a week walking door to door for at least four hours. I moved into telemarketing. Some of the calls were follow ups and some were cold calls. My job was still the same. I just did it over the phone as opposed to in person. EDUCATION
2012 Certified Clinical Medical Assistant: Medical Assisting Fortis College - Richmond, VA
I studied the following fields: Medical Terminology, Electronic Health Records, Insurance Billing and Coding, Personal Protection Equipment, Ethics, HIPPA, and OSHA Laws, Office Skills, Clinical Skills-These included administering injections, urine screening, capillary sticks, and phlebotomy. I passed my state board with a score of 424. I have kept my license current since graduation.
