Brief Description of the Project: -
The Judiciary is responsible for the interpretation and application of laws in the name of the state. The Supreme Court, the Intermediate Court of Appeals, Circuit Courts and District Courts (including Family District Courts) are all part of the Judiciary of the state government of Hawaii. The Judiciary works with law enforcement agencies and the state legislative bodies to maintain law and order in the state.
The Judges, Court Clerks, Judicial Clerks, Operational Supervisors, Offices of the Prosecuting Attorney and Public Defenders, Private Attorneys, Probation Officers, the Community Services and Driver Education Departments and the General Public are primary users of the IT systems developed and maintained by the Judiciary. These systems also interface with various law enforcement agencies for mutual exchange of data and information.
The IT systems are helping the Judiciary increase efficiency in their day to day operations in addition to providing a searchable database of records and electronic documents and other case and criminal history information to the different parties. Various analytical reports and statistics relating to law and order maintenance and criminal activities are also generated using these systems.
The primary objective of this project is to provide the judges and staff the necessary information to expediently manage and process cases and render decisions. This must be done fairly and efficiently. This requires accurate court records and the ability to process cases quickly which can be done by providing a method for Court Clerks to accomplish disposition of criminal cases as they are being heard in a courtroom while reducing the amount of paper required. The project proposes to replace the current method of using paper disposition slips (Orders and Judgments also referred to as ONEO/JNEJ) with an electronic method of fast data entry to generate court orders.

Offer/Order maintains the master catalogue of offers, products and options available to our clients. It records the orders that have been placed by client. It maintains qualification lists showing which offers are appropriate for each client or account or relationship. It maintains the segmentation classification for each household relationship. As per the Business requirement, client is enhancing the O2 product by adding new relationship offer functionality to the existing offer/order. This needs a lot of changes to the core part of offer/order and addition of new data base tables.

MICA is the Mainframe Application which does almost all functionality for a Mobile Services and Customers. MICA provides end to end support for the Mobiles business. It does Activation and other transactions like Port, Churn, Tech Transfer, Migration etc of Prepaid & Postpaid services. MICA Runs Call Pricing for all the calls made by a service it provides unbilled information to user and Bills Postpaid Mobile. MICA also have functionality to take the payment from different payment agencies .This application creates and maintain customer details and does different customer management activities like Customer detail, Payment details etc. MICA also creates and manages SIM and services, Provision and De-Provision network and Non-network products for accounts and account services. MICA maintains the record of different Dealers and Service Providers (Wholesale and Retail) and it is responsible for a part of dealer’s commission system of Telstra.
