Approximately 20 cumulative years’ experience in applying mechanical design and plant operations knowledge to a variety of projects, which include fluid systems design, civil design, and materials specification. Six years’ experience in the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program as a reactor plant mechanical operator and maintenance man. Computer skills include training and/or experience in: spread sheets, programming in Basic and Fortran, CAD (CAD-Key and AutoCAD), CadWorx Plant and Equipment, and the Cranes Companion fluids software package. Quality assurance and quality control experience includes the application of codes and specifications to work packages and the implementation of quality assurance project plans. Other applicable skills and experience include a working knowledge of the fundamentals of ionizing radiation, radioactive contamination controls and containment procedures, man-rem reduction programs, shielding and exposure control, radiation monitoring equipment use and design (gas amplification and scintillating).
Verification Test Site. Assisted in the supervision of the borehole installation designed to acquire seismic tomography data. Supervised the installation of electrodes for electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) data acquisition. Developed work package for, and supervised the installation of gaseous tracer instrumentation.

Mine Waste Technology Program. Assisted with activities for the Crystal Mine. Performed bench-scale testing on treatment concepts for Berkley Pit Water.
Small-Scale Plasma Furnace Testing. Provided test directing for the Electrode Life Extension Testing program.
Pit-9. Assisted in the construction of the Pit-9 Plasma Furnace while on assignment to Retech Inc at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). Provided training to Pit-9 operations personnel in the proposed plant operations and basic nuclear concepts.
Plasma Ordnance Demilitarization System (PODS). Provided support in the design of the PODS Plasma furnace, including the design of cooling systems, slag-conveying systems, and Furnace design. Assisted in identifying and procuring required support equipment for furnace 3
systems. Assisted in the compiling and writing operations and maintenance manual for PODS systems.
Mine Waste Technology Program (Biomet). Assisted in the design, equipment specifications, and procurement of equipment for Biomet Sulfate Reducing Bacteria treatment systems.
NASA (HiLift). Developed 135000 ft2 building plan for support of the high-speed wind tunnel based on maintenance requirements, shop needs, and personnel needs. Developed cost estimate for building and construction schedule based off Richardson system.
Watervliet Chrome Rinse Recycle. Assisted in design of Chrome Rinse Recycle system. Assisted in procurement of materials and components for Chrome Rinse Recycle system. Assigned Subcontract Administrators Technical Representative for installation of system.
Watervliet Sodium Hydroxide Filtration. Assisted in design of Sodium Hydroxide Filtration system. Assisted in procurement of materials and components for Sodium Hydroxide Filtration system.
UMB Barrier. Provided supervision to subcontractor in the excavation, soil washing, barrier placement, and back filling of the Underground Microbial Barrier test cell.
Battle Mountain. Acting shift supervisor and technical advisor in the operation of a temporary mine waste water treatment plant.
Remediation Technology Evaluation. Observed and documented the treatment of soils in segregated test cells for the evaluation of various treatment technologies associated with acid mine drainage producing soils. Assisted in developing and implementing of field changes and repairs to achieve the goals of the work plan.
Technology Investigation. Investigate current and possible future technologies for the sensing of specific contaminants in ground water utilizing in-situ and real time technologies to be used at the Hanford DOE site. The contaminants of concern include: Strontium-90, Technetium-99, Tritium, Carbon Tetrachloride, and Chrome-6.
INTEC/INEEL. Reviewed site systems, operational procedures, and monitoring equipment to develop an overall site water budget, suggest changes to current systems, and suggest changes in operational procedures to eliminate or reduce the potential for transportation of existing contaminants from the site to the water table.
Rimini Mine Waste Treatment. Assisted with developing a plant layout and hydraulic modeling to ensure pumping requirements where met.
Fernald Safe Shutdown. Performed testing of commercially available equipment and assisted in the design and development of new equipment to facilitate the decontamination and decommissioning of the Fernald Uranium Processing Plant. Developed flushing sequence for the Fernald Sites piping system to reduce the quantity of potentially contaminated solid waste requiring long term disposal upon the shutdown of the Fernald Plant systems.
BioSource. Provided plant layout, piping layout, pump sizing, and mechanical design support services to BioSource America for the design of a Bio-Diesel distillation plant.
