Around more than 2000 bedded hospital equipped with all high end machineries, lab facility and providing quality care to the patient population covering costal part of Karnataka, Kerala and Goa states.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Practicing as an intern in Kasturba Medical College under the department of Respiratory Therapy from august 1st for 1 year

Cardiac ICU, Multidisciplinary ICU, Medical ICU, Casuality ICU, Neonatal ICU, Paediatric ICU, Pulmonary medicine ward

SKILLS:
Ventilators: Initial set up of conventional ventilators and noninvasive (including calibration and trouble shooting) of adult, pediatric and neonates type.
Initiation and weaning of mechanical ventilation.
Endotracheal intubation and assisting tracheotomy.
Assessing and monitoring the condition of patients on ventilator and making necessary changes in ventilator parameters accordingly
Oxygen therapy and devices used in oxygen therapy
Airway maintenance (placement of artificial airways) and care of ICD tube, tracheostomy tubes and special airways.
Bronchial hygiene therapy including aerosolized medication humidified medical gas therapy, steam inhalation, postural drainage, percussion, chest vibrations, deep breathing exercises, airway suctioning and artificial cough maneuvers.
Make emergency visits to resolve equipment problems in hospital premises
Arterial blood gases (sampling and interpretation).
Pulmonary function test (testing and interpretation of results).
Bronchodilator therapy (nebulizers, meter dose inhalers and Ultrasonic nebulizers) to provide nebulisation and inhaler therapy for ventilated and non-ventilated patients.
Principles and use of the pulse oximeter, capnometer, oxygen analyzer, defibrillator.
Reading chest X-Rays and electrocardiograms.
Arterial cannulation
Basic and advanced cardio pulmonary resuscitation and to assist the duty doctor during CPR of patients in the ICU or elsewhere in the hospital on activation of code blue.
Non-invasive ventilation like BIPAP, CPAP
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and teach appropriate disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises and the use of medications and respiratory equipment
Work as part of a team of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to manage patient care
