Application of Six Sigma for Scrap reduction on CP08 Turkey/Ham production line

Peacock Engineering, Carol Stream, IL

CP8 production line currently has a high scrap count which is causing a loss of revenue. Scrap that is losing revenue is calculated as amount of scrap that is more than the allowed scrap by the client.

Reduced excess Inventory using Just in Time Approach as a part of scrap reduction process.

Implemented Kaizen in packing line and educated workers which increased in production rate

Modified Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions and updated in coordination with production Team

Using DMAIC the baseline scrap of 6.2% was to reduce to 5% with an estimated annual savings of $9,386.

Increasing Production Rate in Tubular machining facility Using Lean methodologies

Good Year Tire Plus, Chicago, IL

Improvised existing plant layout and made necessary changes to increase production rate.

Applied Lean Methodology to reduce bottle necks and decreased takt time to meet demand rate

Modelled Kaizen Improvements using Value Stream Mapping for manufacturing process flow.

Applied value stream mapping to the production line and implemented the Kaizen improvements with increasing production rate by 29.6% and overall throughput

Implementation of GD&T techniques to "CONDOR TRAILER RAMP SECTION ASSEMBLY" to reduce manufacturing defects

CANDOR, Chicago, IL
