Avera McKennan Hospital - Sioux Falls, SD - September 1987 to November 2016 I am a Registered Radiology Technologist in Mammography who has worked at Avera Mckennan Hospital for 37 1/2 years in mammography. I am well trained in the positioning, equipment, patient information needed, and care of patients.

I started the mammography program at Avera Mckennan Hospital. I know all the details and regulations in becoming accredited site and continuing to attain that status. At Avera, the patient always came first in care, positioning, and diagnosing mammograms.

I helped with the Quality Control testing to keep equipment up to date and functioning correctly for the patients. I was involved in starting the Race for the Cure which raises money to help patients pay for their mammograms and studies in breast cancer.

Avera Mckennan Hospital - Sioux Falls, SD - April 1978 to September 1990 I am a Registered Radiology Technologist. I worked soon after I graduated from Radiology School. I worked in staff position for 10 years. I covered all modalities of Radiology in a rotating pattern. I worked in diagnostic area providing exams in chest room, diagnostic room, (extremities, abdomen, and skull work),flouro room,

( upper and lower GI and gall bladders), specialized throat studies, myleograms, and assisting in interventional studies. I covered the Surgery department and C-arm Flouro for GI studies. On nights and weekends I covered all the areas of the hospital in doing cases in priority order. I helped set up the Quality Control Program for equipment in the hospital to get accredited and continued to keep hospital up to date in all areas.

Sioux Valley Hospital - Sioux Falls, SD - September 1977 to April 1978 I graduated from Radiology school and took my boards. I worked as a staff rotating position. I performed all Radiology exams in the department, surgery and emergency room. Patients always came first and performed to the best of my ability in performing the exams and their diagnostic results.

Radiology Assistant:

Mckenann Hospital - Sioux Falls, SD - April 1976 to September 1977 I worked as an assist in Radiology department. These were all the odd jobs that needed done for the department to function properly. I did clerical duties as preparing the office pulling patient records, jackets, and sorting them into appropriate rooms. Filling all the patients records away at the end of the day. Once I was closer to graduating I could fill in hours for vacation and sick personnel under direct registered staff. In this I gained much experience in Radiology positioning and patient care.
