Teaching Assistant -Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, CSU, Chico January 2015 - Present
• Assigned by department chair to work as a teaching assistant for Electrical Department.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with students and help them solve questions about electronic circuits.
Internship, Electrical Engineer - C Sys Labs, Inc, Chico, CA March 2015
• Tested and validated equipment for production to ensure systems performed to specifications and regulations.
• Controlled computers by soldering PCB board and FPGA board.
• Used the latest lead free compatible equipment to provide excellent process control in critical assembly process.
• Learned the use of different types of wires and principles for PCB layout.
Internship, Electrical Engineer - Power Plant, Baoding, China April 2014 – June 2014
• Adjusted transformer controls to regulate flow of power between generating stations and substations.
• Monitored control board and regulated equipment according to procedures and information from recording instruments. • Adjusted controls to regulate speed, voltage, and phase of incoming turbines to coincide with voltage phase of power.
• Operate switchgear to regulate transfer power loads to protect maintenance workers engaged in repairing equipment.
Projects and Research
Control System Project July 2016 - Present
• Analyzed digital control systems, steady state, dynamic state, and stability performance
• Developed control models for a simplified inverted pendulum through MATLAB
• Designed SISO controllers by transform techniques
• Arranged to design MIMO digital controllers by Time Domain techniques
Matrix Multiplier Project (VHDL, Verilog) January 2016 – May 2016
• Created a matrix multiply module that takes in a vector of 32-bit x values, multiplied by a constant matrix
• Output the resulting vector of 32-bit y values of the matrix multiply module
• Optimized the matrix multiplier to require the minimum amount of area and to provide the highest throughput
• Wrote a testbench to verify the matrix multiplier
Power System Project January 2015 – December 2015
• Analyzed transmission lines fault, modeling and calculated sequence impedances of transmission lines system
• Designed the load flow program by using MATLAB
• Calculated the real and reactive power, learned the power distribution system and power system equipment protection
Honors and Activities
• Awarded Non-resident fee waiver by department chair August 2014 – May 2016
• Team leader of 2015 International EMC Hardware Competition January 2015–May 2015
