•Negotiated and managed the long term contracting of an installation support vessel for install of various subsea hardware, e.g., jumpers, manifolds, trees, SFL’s, EFL’s, etc.

Project Manager - Oilfield Projects Group

Planned, directed, and coordinated activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Major projects include:

Shell Oil Jumper Fabrication Master Service Agreement- Responsible for the fabrication and installation of 18 jumpers for various projects including: Crosby Pastel Pink, Deimos, Mensa and Ursa Princess Water Flood. All fabrication and installation schedules met.

Shell Perdido Project- Responsible for the fabrication of the HOOPS tie-in equipment and 29 well and flowline jumpers for this major Shell project in up to 9700 fsw. To date all requirements and project schedules have been met.

Conducted assessment and analysis of equipment used for cleaning and testing offshore oil and gas pipelines. Provided planning and solutions for equipment maintenance and upgrades that would ensure optimum operational efficiency.

Overseeing 11 managers and supervisors and 160 hourly employees, coordinated the scheduling of 18 remote operated vehicles (ROVs), two subsea production systems, and supervised personnel, logistics and the procurement of related goods and services. Consolidated crew tasks to reduce personnel requirements, increased equipment reliability, and restructured offshore crews to maximize efficiency. Designed and built robotic recovery systems, negotiated favorable rates, terms and conditions for large pipeline projects, provided technical input, and liaised with vendors to ensure quality and delivery. Doubled offshore systems/personnel capabilities and decreased staff overhead, while guiding company through a major growth period.

Oversaw an annual operating budget of $16 million.

Promoted and reassigned to increase systems reliability and cut costs. Manufactured, operated and maintained two subsea production systems for Shell and BP deepwater oil and gas wells in the Gulf of Mexico. Established better relations with the engineering department to facilitate changes and upgrades to equipment while liaising closely with customers and providing statistical proof of increased reliability. Supervised five direct reports and 26 hourly offshore personnel and implemented improved maintenance and training practices.

•Directed the maintenance and operation of deepwater systems valued at $34 million.

•Administered a $4 million annual operating budget, while supporting revenues of $12 million.

Environmental Projects

Recruited, based upon prior performance as a consultant, to provide on-site supervision and deadline compliance for the installation and start up of a nuclear waste recovery system for Lockheed Martin Advanced Environmental Systems at the Idaho National Energy Laboratory. Overseeing 11 engineers, assessed contractual requirements and ensured compliance.

Enhanced revenues through systematic application of change orders, and interfaced directly with customer representatives and subcontractors. Determined that, due to federal regulations governing nuclear materials and allowable contamination levels, the contract terms could not be met and, subsequently, facilitated a profitable exit strategy for the company.

•Selected as Project Engineer for the design and fabrication of a unique

$23 million nuclear waste recovery system.

•Improved deadline compliance from zero to 90% timeliness.

•Negotiated favorable exit strategy terms, creating a $2 million profit versus a significant loss.

•Oversaw the only subcontractor team to receive quality approval.

Lockheed Martin Advanced Environmental Systems

January 1996 to March 1997 - Quality Representative

Contracted as a consultant for a US Department of Energy project involving the design and fabrication of a nuclear waste remediation system at the Idaho National Energy Laboratory. Overseeing 15 Sonsub engineers and teams of up to 35 hourly workers, verified contract adherence, proper fabrication and operability of a unique nuclear waste retrieval system. Conducted contract negotiations and identified and corrected numerous design shortfalls, preventing reworking and schedule delays.

Energy project.
