1. LyondellBasell Propylene Oxide Process Design Package, Channelview, Texas (2014-2015). As Electrical Lead, managed the electrical schedule, man-hours, and reporting, and coordinated the work between the Houston office and New Delhi office. Created the electrical load lists, electrical/interlock relationship tables, and fire-and-explosion indexes. Reviewed / approved the hazardous source registers, area classification drawings, key one-line diagrams, electrical studies, cable schedules, tray-sizing calculations, and main cable route plans created by the Electrical Team.

2. LyondellBasell Propylene Oxide Process Design Package, International (2012-2013). As Electrical Lead, managed the electrical schedule, man-hours, and reporting. Created the fire-and-explosion index, hazardous source register, area classification drawings, electrical load list, key one-line diagrams, and electrical/interlock relationship table. Modeled the key one-line diagrams in ETAP and performed electrical studies.

3. Borouge Propane Production Project FEED, Ruwais, United Arab Emirates (2014-2015). As Electrical Lead, managed the electrical schedule, man-hours, and reporting, and participated in the on-site survey to add the new propane production unit at an existing plant. Reviewed the deliverables (electrical load lists, motor and consumer lists, low-voltage starter feeder lists, key one-line diagrams, electrical studies, lighting calculations, cable data sheets, cable schedule, main cable route plans, hazardous source registers, area classification drawings, hazardous-area equipment selection criteria, equipment lists, and material takeoffs) done by the New Delhi office.

Principal Electrical Engineer

Created electrical drawings (one-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, installation details, layouts of electrical buildings and control cabinets, MCC layouts, cable schedules, and area classification drawings) for pipeline stations. Designed the controls for these stations, programmed Allen-Bradley PLCs and Toshiba loop controllers, and configured Omni flow computers and Multilin motor protection relays. As electrical lead, wrote scopes of work and operating instructions, made schedules, added control logic to P&IDs, participated in HAZOPs, and reviewed the work of designers and CAD operators.

1. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Empire Expansion Project, Louisiana (1998-1999). Designed the 15’x55’ electrical building and controls for Empire (one 3000-hp VFD and two 3000-hp motors). Designed the 15'x60' electrical building and controls for Grand Isle (one 3000-hp VFD and one 3000-hp motor). Programmed the PLC and motor protection relays at Empire, Grand Isle, Larose (two existing pumps on a VFD), and Raceland (four existing direct-on-line pumps). Participated in the startup of each site.

2. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company St. James-to-Anchorage Pipeline Logistics Project, Louisiana (2002-2003). Designed the 12’x30’ electrical building and controls for the new St. James North Station (outdoor 5-kV MCC with two soft starters). Designed the 12’x30’ electrical building and controls for the new Anchorage Pump Station (outdoor 5-kV MCC with one soft starter). Programmed the PLCs and loop controllers, and configured the flow computers and motor protection relays.

3. Yellowstone Pipeline (Conoco) Billings Refinery Batch Automation Project, Montana (2001). Assisted in the design of the SCADA architecture, created flow charts to define automated batch operation, participated in the HAZOP, programmed four PLCs, and participated in the startup to automate batch deliveries of refined products from three Billings refineries to Billings Pump Station.

4. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Grand Isle Water Outfall Project, Louisiana (1997). Designed the 12’x30’ electrical building and controls. Programmed the PLC to control two 350-hp motors, each running on its own VFD. Participated in the startup.

1. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Tank Overfill Protection Application (TOPA), (2010-2011). Modified a master TOPA PLC program to make it specific for each site where TOPA was implemented. Revised electrical drawings, operating instructions, and SCADA points lists. Started up the PLC at each site.

2. Enterprise Products Cowden Junction Station, Pennsylvania (2009-2010). Created drawings to install a new propane meter skid at the existing station. Wrote PHA documents and control philosophy. Assigned PLC I/O points. Reviewed vendor drawings for the meter skid.

3. ONEOK Brine Pond 2 Project, Mont Belvieu, Texas (2009-2010). Created the electrical drawings for a new electrical building to service the equipment for a second brine pond. Wrote the PLC program to control and monitor two 500-hp pumps. Participated in the startup.

4. NuStar Energy St. James Tank Farm Expansion, Louisiana (2008). Created electrical drawings for mixers and instrumentation on four new crude oil tanks.

5. Colonial Pipeline Company Northern Skies Project - ULSD (2007). Scoped out the work and estimated costs to upgrade the PLC and controls at three products terminals (one in Maryland and two in New Jersey) to take ultralow sulfur diesel.

6. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Shintech Meter Station, Louisiana (2007). Created drawings for an ethylene meter skid with 11’x12’ electrical building. Wrote requisitions for electrical equipment. Participated in the HAZOP.

7. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Meraux Pump Station, Louisiana (2006-2007). Designed the 12’x33’ electrical building with low-voltage MCC for motor-operated valves and 5-kV MCC for four pump units. Participated in the constructability review.

8. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Beaumont Logistics Consolidation Project, Texas (2003-2004). Estimated costs for electrical engineering and design, materials, and construction for 16 sites to consolidate two pipeline systems. Wrote requisitions, created the electrical drawings, and designed the controls. Designed the installation of a new 1000-kW, 2400-VAC diesel generator for one site. Participated in the HAZOP.

9. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Aldine Products Station Jet-Fuel Capacity and Controls Upgrade, Houston, Texas (2003). Wrote requisitions for electrical equipment, created electrical drawings for a fourth pump (running on a VFD), and programmed the PLC to upgrade the station controls and add this fourth pump. Participated in the startup.

10. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Grand Isle Station Controls Upgrade, Louisiana (2000). Programmed three PLCs and checked out the cutover of the existing field equipment (pumps, valves, and instruments) to them. Checked out the PLC communications with the remote control center and local control computers.

11. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company South Louisiana Controls Upgrade (1994-1995). Designed three new electrical buildings and controls for three existing pump stations. Created the electrical drawings, wrote requisitions for electrical equipment, programmed the PLC, and revised operating instructions and SCADA points lists for each station. Participated in the startup of each station.
