OWNER / PROJECT MANAGER/ CONSULTANT 7/2016 - Present AGILE BUSINESS CONSULTING, LLC, Ramsey, New Jersey

• Contracted to manage a New York City metro based subcontractor’s Assistant PM’s, manage their new estimators and begin to put new processes in place to better manage their Foremen and PM’s. Utilizing AutoCAD and PlanSwift software for estimating and providing SOW’s using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

• Analyzing and implementing within the Company’s Purchasing Department, new and improved asset control and monitoring of their field inventory among two warehouses for their 35 projects in the NYC metro area. Created reports and processes for field asset management, field personnel and Inventory transfer and delivery.

• Assigned specific job sites to work with the foremen and PM’s to make sure the SLA’s are carried out as contracted. Currently reviewing their PO and asset tracking processes as well as auditing their project manpower actual labor costs as well as stepping in to fill a vacated foreman’s position on their Regal Cinema project in Lynbrook, New York.

CONTRACTOR / TRANSITION PROJECT MANAGER 5/2015 - 7/2016 NTT DATA AMERICA, Woodbridge, New Jersey

• Contracted by NTT DATA to be an Integral part of a Global project with the number three ranked Pharma company, to bring about the transition of their vendor/supplier IT groups to be 100% managed by a third-party. Created a Single-Point-of-Contact for all submission of work involving vendor resources, product and support in fulfilling IT projects worldwide.

• Shadowing, reverse-shadowing and documenting the process with the Pharma’s in-house SME’s involved with the IT vendor management group. Heavy emphasis on social engineering involvement at all levels with face-to- face meetings as well as web meetings in analyzing and interpreting the existing business processes.

• Co-managed the Pharma’s IT Job Requisition Requests in coordinating the needs of the Project Managers and their teams. This sometimes involved making recommendations to the PM’s on the types of IT resources and capabilities best suited for their projects.

CONSULTANT / DIRECTOR of SALES and MARKETING 11/2013 - 2/2015 INFOAXIS, Mahwah, New Jersey

OWNER / PROJECT MANAGER / BUSINESS CONSULTANT 7/2003 - 10/2013 THE STERLING GROUP, LLC, Las Cruces, New Mexico

• Created three companies under THE STERLING GROUP LLC: a Construction Company, DESERT SKY BUILDERS; a Realty Company, DESERT STAR REALTY and a retail medical care clinic, QUICK CARE CLINIC.

• Hired to represent commercial construction clients for multi-million-dollar projects. Attended pre-bid meetings, created asset/ resource profiles needed for projects, applied outlines, created cost estimates and parameters to prepare RFP’s within strict timeframes and produce the final RFP’s.

• Represented Sandoval Commercial Construction for the “world’s first commercial spaceport” project, SPACEPORT AMERICA, in the desert near Hatch, New Mexico. Advised and recommended whether to bid or no bid on certain phases of the three-year project. Became the Sandoval LEED certified Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all commercial projects.

• Contracted by Sandoval Construction to create one of the final winning RFP’s for a New Mexico State Education contract worth $8 million over four years with an automatic biennial renewal. This contract, with my BID, RFP and project management experience, was expanded to cover the state of New Mexico’s educational institutions.

• Experienced in concrete and asphalt estimating for parking lots, warehouse foundation slabs and commercial and residential foundation slabs. Estimated and built homes on post-tension concrete foundation slabs due to the county ordinances for such construction location of the homes to a nearby river.

• As the Owner and General Contractor for DESERT SKY BUILDERS, I managed the construction of 40 custom residential homes and 5 commercial projects with nearly 85% within contracted SLA’s, timelines and budgets.

• Contracted to project manage and develop the covenants for the first all-solar Microgrid, gray- water recovery, Green Subdivision in the State of New Mexico. The subdivision consisted of 30 affordable lots designed for a Green Energy homes division in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The covenants called for LEED certification, solar and water savings based upon my study of similar developments in Tucson, Arizona. The Dept. of Energy, the NMSU Electrical Engineering Dept. and El Paso Public Power company were stakeholders in the planning and development of the subdivision.

• Voted Builder of the Year in 2009 and in 2010, President of Las Cruces Home Builders Association; 650-members which included suppliers, all tradesmen, Realtors and banks involved with the southern NM building industry.

• Worked with local Attorneys, Engineers and Courts as a SME for contractual project disputes. As a court appointed Arbitrator, provided written reports/ white papers for the Arbitration cases involved. Asked many times to speak before the Las Cruces City Council on behalf of numerous organizations as a Subject Matter Expert on construction, land use and economic viability of a project.

• Consulted for an alternative energy company (windforces.com) to be proactive in marketing the solar and wind energy environment with a partnering strategy with LEED Raters, Energy Auditors and solar and wind vendors in the state of Texas and New Mexico. Worked to bring about a Project Management point-of-view to create a PMO capability in providing billable services for providers of alternative energy to the public.

• Contracted as the primary General Contractor, Project Manager and Superintendent for an 8,000-sq. ft. expansion and renovation of the La Posta Restaurant near Las Cruces, New Mexico. It served annually over 600,000 people non-stop so construction had to be planned around their patrons. Contracted by the owners to take on their project since no other Contractors would do the project due to the age of the 150-year-old adobe structure and the inherent risks of such a large project. Since the restaurant was on the National Historic Registry, inspections were done by 4 groups throughout the project. In 2013, the USA Today newspaper named it one of the Top 10 Mexican restaurants in the country.

C0NSULTANT / DIRECTOR, CONTRACTED MANAGED SERVICES 4/2002 - 4/2003 ALPHANET SOLUTIONS, Cedar Knolls, NJ

• Directed the IT Operations management of the company’s 7x24 Service Desk utilizing BMC Remedy software with an asset and logistics component tied into it. Managed company’s website and the 7x24 NOC.

• Worked with and managed the technical support engineers including the NOC manager, project managers, webmaster and technical service staff. Guided the operations of the Service Desk as well as coordinated resources with offshore and nearshore consultants and support personnel to meet client driven projects.

Implemented a new program, “Big Think”, to eliminate the growing attrition rate among the highly prized technical support staff. Improved employee morale in use of offshore support personnel to meet Holiday support SLA’s.

This reduced turnover by 25% and resulted in creative ideas and input to the CEO as well as positive feedback from the AlphaNet client base.
