Application Interface Testing
Currently serving as part of a Test as a service test team, my immediate testing support consists of test engineering and lead support of 4 project application areas. Each project application area is of differing platforms and technologies. To support each of these project application areas, varying combinations of the following tools are used: Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr Test management tool, plug-in for JIRA, HP QTP, and HP Service test. My primary tool usage is HP Service test, Zephyr Test management, and basic click and record HP QTP scripting.

Test Engineering Support
As a self-sufficient and self-serving test team were stewards of our own test environments. My specialized role and contribution to our testing team is the systems engineering support for set-up, maintenance, software deployment, and snap shot management of the varying test environments. We utilize a VMware virtualized server network environment. Snapshot management is performed using a VSphere client. Additional test team systems engineering support includes management of the HP tool suite license server and software patch and update acquisition. Additionally, support includes CM like responsibilities of the test automation scripts using Subversion (SVN) to control the test assets.

Business Analysis
Served as a business process analyst for an Enterprise Service Bus team. The service bus platform was built around the Oracle 10g BPEL architecture and then later migrated to an 11g WebLogic/OSB implementation. My initial role to the team was to provide process and standards consistency to the team. As other core team members rolled off of the project my responsibilities and contributions to the team included providing business, strategic, and operational supportability guidance for web services and web service integration.

Web Services Testing
As the lead web services/service bus tester, depending on the Service model, provided and created integration specification documentation to ensure consistency and reliability of composite integrations. Preformed inspection and validation of back-end data structures, web services XSD’s and transformation rules. The primary services were java BPEL processes, other service types included EJB’s, Asmx, and WCF. Service platform components varied by project. Often used components: BPEL processes, OWSM, Oracle Msg Queueing, .NET WCF services, MTOM attachments. I utilized HP Service test 11.20 as the primary tool for testing and validating stand alone and Web service composites. Other tools include XML spy for schema structure validation.

Lead Test Engineer
As lead Test engineer for one of the Department of State’s high visibility public facing application suites, I coordinated, planned and executed testing of each of the applications in the application suite. Part of the application suite was public facing other parts were internal information processing components. Leveraged the IBM-Rational tool suite for requirements mapping (Rational Req Pro), Rational Robot for generating volume application submissions, and Rational Clear Quest for change request, defect, and enhancement tracking. In addition, I performed integration and extended unit testing of the Data Share hub which facilitated data exchanges of information between several federal agencies.

Principal Software Test Engineer:
Primary roles: Create test data repositories for Internal Revenue Service (IRS) corporate data systems. Repository creation involves analysis, working with developers, subject matter experts, and responding and adapting repository design specification changes. Process Re-Engineering, which entails conducting lessons learned sessions, noting concerns, issues, and deficiencies. This information is used to recommend solutions, strategies, and serve as a forum of discussion with upper management.
Documentation responsibilities: Create System design and Test documentation, which include Functional specifications, program requirements, Test plans (Unit, Regression, and SAT), and System change requirement documents.
