Audited paper and EMR Medicare charts at three facilities. Traveled to various doctor’s offices to obtain signed documentation when necessary. I scanned, filed, and faxed documents daily. I answered phones and communicated daily with various doctor’s offices concerning signed documentation. I managed the EMR tracker, docprint screen, and treatment census’ at each facility. I ensured that all documents were signed and in patient’s chart, ready each month for triple check and to be audited at any time by Medicare. I wrote delayed certification on documents not signed by the doctor within the certification period. I maintained technical audit sheets for two of the three facilities. I began studying at Gaston College in the Fall of 2009. I completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and obtained my certification in Spring 2010. I continued my education at Gaston College doing prerequisites for the Registered Nursing Program. In 2013, I was accepted into the Medical Assisting Program. I was forced to quit the program due to pregnancy complications. I was then accepted into the Licensed Practical Nursing program in April of 2013. I began the LPN program in August 2013.
