Roles & Responsibilities:

As part of escalation engineering the responsibilities consists of Configuring, Administration and Troubleshooting of EMC Invista and EMC VPLEX systems which includes but not limited to providing Escalation Support to Global Tech Support on Invista and VPLEX Product issues via attending WebEx and concalls with field personnel and customer to resolve the ongoing outage.

Responsible for troubleshooting VPLEX customer defects, recommending corrections and enhancements along with reviewing and providing feedback on QE Test plans for new product features and inter-operability testing in an extremely fast-paced environment.

Responsible for delivering high quality support to VPLEX customers preventing data loss and business outage. Handling critical and severe impact problems in a SAN environment and working together with various other technical support persons and resolving customer problems in the quickest possible ways.

Researching customer-related VPLEX issues and analyze the product code to determine if changes need to be made or if the issue lies outside of the product. Responsible for on system and off system GDB core dump analysis to debug asserts and abort seen in VPLEX and understand where the problem lies by doing the code walkthrough.

eScan Real Time Antivirus Monitor:

Previously eScan real time virus monitor was an application provided by Kaspersky solutions Moscow. The new monitor is now based on the SDK provided by bit defender. It performs real time scanning of files for viruses and spywares and takes action upon them as directed by user.

Integration of Kaspersky and later Bit Defender SDK successfully into company’s antivirus solution along with maintaining the existing component and debugging customer issues.

Killproc

Killproc is an application which kills other applications/Process in 14 different ways, 12 user level methods and 2 kernel level methods. The idea is to make notorious application exit whenever user want.

Quick Scan Assister

Quick Scan Assister (QSA) checks for every file properties and logged it to registry and LAN (Language) files, when same file comes for scanning it checks for any modification of files and if nothing changed it skips the file which enhances the performance and overhead during scanning.

TaskSheduler

Task Scheduler set’s the antivirus to scan at particular time given by user, it basically read the anti-virus setting file and set’s the engine to start at that time.
