MAJOR PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

USB INTERFACE USING PYTHON.

There are different methods by which data can be measured and send to the computer for processing. Now present day computer mainly has USB Ports. USB communication has different flavors like HID class, Mass storage class, USB Test measurement class etc. Moreover USB is driver dependent. Writing custom driver is difficult. Hence in this project a routine experiment is automated using the USB Interface. In order to have USB communication the firmware should satisfy the USB communication protocol so on the computer side, the driver should linked to have proper communication. Any visual language that support API can be used as a host software. Now, python being popular, host software is built around the host software.

SERIAL INTERFACE USING PYTHON.

In this project the routine of I-V characteristic curve( output characteristic curve) of a transistor is automated using Python software and UART interface. In this hardware consists of a PIC18F452 micro controller, MAX5154 12 bit digital to analog converter, voltage regulator AD780, voltage amplifier LM358, current to voltage converter OP741, power transistor CL100, the transistor under study and the essential components needed for micro controller operation. The clock frequency required for the micro controller operation is derived from the external 20MHz crystal. The base current of the transistor under study is varied from zero to 175uA in eight steps using D-Port pins (D0, D1, D2).

The collector voltage is varied from zero to 2.5 volt is eight steps to the DAC from the B-Port. The output voltage from the DAC is subsequently amplified about four times using LM358 and given to the base of the power transistor. The emitter of the power transistor CL100 is connected to the collector of the transistor whose voltage is being varied. The firmware is written in C and compiled using CCS C compiler. The firmware implements all the tasks. The application software to collect the measured value and display it on the monitor screen has been developed by the python.

IoT SMART AUTOMATION SOLUTION

Home automation is a combination of many technologies to give people more comfort and includes home security system which is IoT enabled using Python.
