I have worked in different capacities as technician, field design and engineering, QA/QC and inspection, supervision and planning/scheduling.

Worked as lead I/E Technician in the design, installation and commissioning of various measurement, control, and communications systems for various oil and gas production companies in the Eagle Ford Shale Region of South Texas.

Duties include assisting in developing and maintaining customer base, assisting in estimating job bids and developing proposals, working with customers in planning and executing jobs, and supervising jobs.

LEAD I/E TECH: Koch Pipeline-Liberty, Texas

Employed to Koch Pipeline after Flint Hills Resources’ buy out of Buckeye Pipeline’s Huntsman system which I was assigned to. Continued the same duties and responsibilities that I had with Buckeye Pipeline on this system. As a lead technician, I was responsible for scheduling and planning all routine maintenance and project work.

4/2006 to 5/2008

I/E, MEASUREMENT TECH: Buckeye Pipeline-Liberty, Texas

Responsibilities included routine maintenance of all communication, measurement, and control systems on various pipeline systems operated by Buckeye Pipeline. Also responsible for project work such as new meter installations, including flow computers, PLCs, radio and satellite communications. Buckeye operated several different systems for various other companies which created a great challenge in being exposed to many different applications in PLCs, meters, and communications/SCADA designs.

MEASUREMENT TECH: Equistar Pipeline-Mont Belvieu, Texas

Duties included routine calibration, proving, pychnometer test, and maintenance of orifice and turbine meters used in custody measurement. Calibration and maintenance of all instrumentation associated with pipeline control and regulatory compliance. Assisted pipeline technicians in maintenance duties such as pigging operations, overseeing contractor work, one calls, etc. Dealt with LPG products such as ethylene, propylene, NGL, ethane, propane, E/P mix, butane, benzene, C4’s and various condensates and feedstocks.

INSTRUMENT TECH: Arco Chemical/Lyondell Petrochemical-Channelview, Texas

In house duties included routine preventive maintenance, work order task, and special projects including unit turnarounds and DCS/PLC control system modifications. I left Lyondell Petrochemical when I took an opportunity to transfer to Equistar Pipeline’s Measurement Department. Equistar Pipeline was a subsidiary company of Lyondell.

Assisted in cutover of existing instrumentation to Honeywell TDC 3000. Also performed functional checkout of unit instrumentation as a part of a multi-unit turnaround.

Assessment and repair of instrumentation damage after fire in Propylene Unit. Performed functional checkout after rebuild and assisted in start-up.

Responsibilities included management of I/C technicians in calibrations, development of loop packages, and checkout of instrumentation after installation. Also assisted engineering group in design of special add-on packages in coordination with Jacobs Engineering.

Duties included assisting Senior Designer in designing and producing CAD drawings for new installation of PLC control systems for transfer pumps and loading racks. Also assisted Sunoco I/E technicians in programming Allen Bradley PLCs and in commissioning of these systems.

Worked as start-up technician on new Coker and Hydrotreater Units. Duties included checkout and commissioning of loops and assisting in start-up of units.

Worked directly with Foster Wheeler Carribe Engineering’s project management team in the construction of new Coker and MTBE Units. Duties included witnessing of functional checkout and calibrations being performed by MMR technicians and assisting in engineering and design situations that arose.

I/E FIELD DISIGNER: Udalhoven Oilfield System Services-North Slope, Alaska

P&ID update and verification of pump station facilities on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Duties included walking down pump stations and insuring accuracy of instrument and control scenarios on P&IDs and redlining drawings accordingly.

I/C TECH: Instrument Control Services-Gulf Coast Fractionators-Mont Belvieu, Texas

Worked fire and explosion damage to Fractionation Unit. Performed repair, replacement, and checkout of all damaged instrumentation. Also did checkout of newly installed Honeywell DCS and Modicon PLC.
