Objective Now a days, street lighting systems are
consumed more power to deliver high illumination
level at night unnecessarily and a large amount of power is wasted meaninglessly. In conventional
method they used GSM to control for ON, OFF &
dimming the lighting system manually. The
efficient monitoring and controlling of this
lighting system must be taken into account for
energy saving. In this project, efficiently
developed a control of street lighting system and
thereby saving electricity. We have adopted solar
and wind hybrid source for the lighting system on
Streets & highways. In addition to that, accident
notification system has been developed. In this
work, different sensors are used for identification of vibration and environmental conditions.
The main objective of this project is to alarm
the passengers and the driver about the fire
accident in the train. So in this project we are
implementing a special method for fire detection
in order to provide a secured transport. This
project uses Microcontroller, RF Transmitter and
Receiver, Comparator, Photoelectric sensor and
we are using a temperature sensor specially LM35
to detect any temperature change in the
environment due to fire. The output is given to a
microcontroller which in turn activates a driver
circuit which drives receiver section consists of RF Receiver, Decoder, Microcontroller, LED Display
and Alarm Circuit. The information is displayed on the LED display. So train driver will stop the train in order to avoid the accident.
Conclusion In this project, smart street lighting system along with accident identification system has
been developed. It described how new trends in
technology can help us in saving the energy. This
system works solely in the darkness, avoiding
waste of energy throughout day hours, during day
hours the device active itself by the solar panel
which recharges. Sensors enable the system to
operate solely whenever it needs. System employs
highly economical LEDs to ensure correct
illumination and assure energy savings. Another
advantage obtained by the control system is the
efficient management of the lamp.
Nowadays fire accident in trains is causing
frequently and secured travelling is not possible
sometimes due to such accidents. So when driver
is driving that area he has taken awareness on the driving. Here the microcontroller may Atmel or
PIC microcontroller both are flash type
reprogrammable in which we have programmed.
So it receives the signal from decoder and display the corresponding information on LED display. At
the same time microcontroller activates the alarm
driver circuits. So the alarm makes sounds to
indicating to train driver.
