Deck Cadet

Dear Sir/Madam,

This letter is to express my interest in becoming part of your team as a Deck Cadet. This Cadetship will serve as a purposeful experience for me to apply my skill, talent and knowledge as well as grow in the field of maritime navigation. My passion for maritime navigation has evolved out of my involvement in sea scouts (both rowing and motor boats) and sailing.

As I continue on this journey towards becoming a ship captain, I hope to bring greater efficiency, discipline and resilience to your business. Some of my strengths include thinking critically using logic and reasoning to identify solutions, demonstrating resourcefulness and being resilient in the face of obstacles. I am also very willing to adapt to any work environment and am able to prioritize, manage time and tasks efficiently and effectively. If you are seeking someone to take on any task or situation thrown their way, this is exactly what I am capable of. I am physically prepared and ready for challenges of life on the open sea as a Deck Cadet.
