This short, rush project to update and convert call center training materials for DIRECTV and AT&T personnel. The project involves applying re-branding standards and general quality standards to existing materials using Captivate, MSWord, and InDesign.

Atmos Energy Human Resources – Dallas, TX - Instructional Design lead – 06/2014 to 09/2016

Led a team of instructional designers to design and develop new-hire training materials for Customer Service Associates (CSAs). This includes working with a team of instructional designers to develop both materials for instructor–led classes and self-contained system-simulation eCourses. The training covers all aspects of the CSA job including use of the CRM and ISU SAP modules. Additional related projects include new hire materials for dispatchers and assessment modules for back-off (Revenue Management) specialists. The simulations are built in Captivate and run on the SumTotal LMS.

PepsiCo Human Resources – Plano, TX - Instructional Design Consultant – 06/2013 to 04/2014

Convert classroom courses into eLearning courses using native Flash (Actionscript 2 and 3) and plan project timeline. The audience is HR Compensation and Benefits professionals world wide. SMEs for the project are in Asia, so there is extensive use of WebEx, phone conferences, document management / exchange systems and other eTools. The project involves the design and development of SCORM-compliant computer based modules using Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Premier, NaturalReader, and Snag-it and run on the SumTotal LMS.

American Airlines – Fort Worth, TX - Instructional Design Consultant – 01/2013 to 05/2013

Evaluate training needs and develop training for parts/warehouse management for a new SAP system managing parts for a new model airbus that is joining the AA fleet. The project involved the design and development of scripts and images for both computer based (using uPerform) and instructor-lead training in the use of SAP – Warehouse Management.

●EPRI: Instituted comprehensive e-learning/CBT, managing a $700K budget. Designed business and project standards. Customized content to individual needs. Trained 1K+ personnel at eight participating utility companies. Produced tailored presentations. Directed development and execution of two Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS).

●Payless Shoes: PMO member on a project to revamp standards and prototype CBT modules for 4,500 stores nationwide. Created Flash animations, HTML/Javascript quizzes, and Point-of-Sale (POS) simulations. Embedded recorded and edited audio, images, and video into training modules. Launched digital video distribution and display system. All projects completed under budget.

Result: Expedited training time 20%, slashing printing and delivery costs. Reduced production costs for video distribution 60%, garnering $45K annual savings.

●Kansas Fire Service Partnership: Bid for an won this project to establish and program web-based database tool that retains certification information on firefighters. Designed database structure and VBScript/ASP webpages to gather, hold, search, and display data. Recruited SQL programmer to institute Data Transformation Services (DTS) packages. Directed program administrators in managing data for employment candidates.

Result: Reduced time and efforts to identify quality candidates for consortium of regional fire departments by instituting new recruitment and qualifications capability.

●Molly Maids of Wichita: started and co-managed franchise. Hired personnel, managed payroll, taxes, finances, and advertising.

Result: Built to break even in two years, and then shut down with recession in 3rd year.
