To whom it may concern:
I believe I am the highly determined and self-motivated Individual you are currently looking for to join your team. I am an individual that is able to multitask efficiently, is energetic, flexible, creative, and I get along easily with others. I have the education and experience you are looking for and I am available to start immediately.
My passion is working with and helping people from diverse populations, backgrounds, ages, and circumstances. I connect easily with others and have enjoyed every position I have held in the social services field over the last 20 years.
As a Designated Mental Health Professional I worked independently with very little supervision. I had to be able to understand, explain, interpret, and enforce RCW 71.05 and RCW 71.34. I had to investigate, interview and take thorough statements from involved parties. I had to write complex investigation reports as a DMHP. And I had to exercise independent judgment. As a Case Manager, Therapist, Family Support Service Advocate and Program Coordinator I have a strong background in developing treatment plans, crisis plans, doing assessments, evaluations, and making diagnoses. I also have extensive experience in networking and utilizing resources with other professionals and agencies we have in our community.
My experience on and off for the last 21 years has strengthened my verbal, listening, and interviewing skills. Also, working in this field I have to have the ability to work with upset or angry clients and the ability to work in stressful and high caseload environments. My work experience has demanded the ability to pay high attention to detail and to prioritize. I have had to do all my daily documentation using Word, Outlook, Anasazi, and Avatar.
I am confident I have the strengths, ability and experience you are looking for and I am a quick learner, dependable, team player and get along well with others. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss this career opportunity. I hope to hear from you shortly. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Allison Nystrom, MAEd
